As much as some people believe there is no doubt Obama will win, there is a strong possability McCain could also.
I don't support McCain but I'm not so arrogant to think that the elections at this point are gaurenteed.
Didn't everyone think Kerry would win back in '04?ThePlothole
Everyone was hoping he'd win, but he ran an awful campaign and was an awful candidate.
Obama on the other hand has ran one of the most successful campaigns i can remember in recent years and has packaged himself as a great candidate.
The only reason why anyone would think Kerry would win was because they didn't think Bush could be voted in 2 terms. Barack Obama is clearly a much better candidate than John Kerry was._Classic_Gamer_
No he is not.. Kerry at least had experience, all Obama has on his side is charisma, that doesn't make a good president.
And it's not guaranteed who knows what will happen come voting day...

Some did, Karl Rove did not...
This election IS different. We've had 4 more years of failure bush, people are sick of repubs. Obama is the better choice and America will prove this.

We can thank 2 ongoing wars and a clever republican propaganda and fearmongering campaign for the 2nd bushco term....
I'm still routing for Bush. Come on GW!SolidSnake35
Then you will be very disappointed on Election Day. :)

People like Palin because of her looks, not her charisma.
Because on November 4th Barack Obama will put an end to it._Classic_Gamer_
Do you really get to know the results on the 4th? Or is it only if there's a clear victory for either side?

Also remember when Al Gore was announced as the winner on CNN .. then Fox Announced that Bush won and then all the other news outlets started announcing Bush won, ABC, MSNBC, even CNN changed it to Bush.
So basically Fox decided who won.
Yeah -- I'm not going to say Obama will win for sure .. because things happen.
Obama may be leading the polls, but if there's one thing we should've learned from past elections, it's that you don't need the most votes to become president. :roll:HardQuor
That actually helps Obama a lot. On the electoral map, he's winning in all of the swing states save a few. In order for McCain to win, he'd HAVE to get ohio, pennsylvania, nevada, colorado, and florida. If he doesn't get all of those, it's over. Yes, he'd have to win ALL of them. McCain could easily win the popular vote, because the states he's big in, he's huge in. Obama has a solid lead over him in the states he's big in, but that's enough for an electoral vote.
Got to love republicans, trying to build momentum where there is none. ..

If it's a real dead heat you'll know the next morning, but Bush-Gore was declared late that night. I think we'll get results soon this election, because once the swing states start coming in Obama, it's over for mccain.

It was more of a thing where we forced ourselves to believe it because we couldn't stand the prospect of more Bush.
In retrospect I'm suprised Kerry got passed the primaries, he couldn't campaign his way out of a paper bag.

How would he get in the paper bag? I can imagine Kucinich getting stuck in there, but Kerry...

It was more of a thing were Karl Rove shoved the paper bag over his head and Kerry asked nicely for him to stop it.
Didn't everyone think Kerry would win back in '04?ThePlotholeYeah basiclly but he lost by like 2.5 points and 35 electoral votes. Also in 2000 Gore was supposed to win soundly and he lost (though not in popular votes).
[QUOTE="the_greenzero"]Meh I doubt Obama will win, electoral votes count the most anyway.Sajo7
If the polls are to be trusted...which really can't be, then Obama is dominating in electoral votes.
Probably in Cali, wouldn't be surprised he got all 55 for that state.

The lastest projection on the Yahoo homepage has Obama at 333 and McCain at 181
http://www.yahoo.com/
Gallup, while not providing Electoral, has Obama 52% and McCain 41%
