Bane kicked batmans ass in TDKR, was destroying Gotham almost. 100 % badass.
Joker however was more cunning in TDK than being a badass.more like a cool villain with swag :P

you can share your choice. who is your favourite badass villain of all time?
I was referring to your two choices. Anyway....of the two Joker. No doubt considering the history of the franchise. If we're basing this on the Christopher Nolan films, then Bane is the more badass. Â If we're basing this on actual Batman comics in perspective, then the Joker probably wins. Â
Scarecrow is my favorite Batman villain by far. I just like his whole obsession with fear and phobias. His psychological mind-screws are great.
Â
But Bane and Joker are my two other favorite Batman villains. I like Bane because he breaks the super-villain archetype. Bane is a huge, muscle-bound brute of a human being. But unlike most comic book villains of that type, he's not a total idiot. He's intelligent, cold, and calculating.
Â
But of the two my vote is Joker. Bane may have literally crippled Batman, but Joker has by far done the most damage to him. Two of the most notable being crippling Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), and beating Jason Todd (the 2nd Robin) with a crowbar then killing him and his mother in a warehouse explosion. He's unrepentant, and has no motive or desire outside of causing chaos and misery.
Â
One of the greatest Joker moments for me was an incident between him and Scarecrow. They were working together and Joker said something that angered Scarecrow, so he blew some of his "fear dust" into Joker's face. Joker started crying for a few seconds, then began laughing hysterically and said "I like it!", and proceeded to beat the HELL out of Scarecrow, then walked off sniffing the fear dust like it was a drug.

In terms of Christopher Nolan's trilogy they are equally outstanding villains, with mesmerizing performances from both Tom Hardy and Heath Ledger. If I had to pick I'd say the Joker.

Bane is like "Moose" from Archie Comic .... big and dumbhippiesantaActually Bane has an intellect almost on par with batman and is a master strategist and guerilla fighter. Also quite capable of chemistry.

Yeah, a good majority of Batman's main rogues are all heavy thinkers and planners. I find spiderman has more brawn no brain types.
Joker. I want to be his Harley Quinn.Â
I really do want to see Harley in a future Batman movie though.Â
