Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be in The Dark Knight Rises

"Joseph Gordon-Levitt is increasingly one of the most interesting actors working in Hollywood, which would explain why Chris Nolan wants to keep him close by casting him in The Dark Knight Rises.

The pair have just worked on Nolan's other massive film Inception, and Deadline report that Gordon-Levitt "will be in [Rises] when Nolan starts production this spring".

He's a great actor, and I trust Nolan to cast him as something nice, and it will be done well.

There's something about his face that I don't like one bit. Good actor, though.

I love JGL as much as the next person, but the guy has only 2, maybe 3 facial expressions. I hope they take that into consideration when casting him.

This news pleases me. Although I hope he doesn't play Robin. And if he does, then I have faith Nolan in what he does with the character.

Nolan said that The Riddler will not be in the film when he announced the title of the film. I believe the recent speculation is that Levitt will be playing Hush.

Three movies out of the myriad he's been in isn't enough to convince me that the guy has a wide range of emotions in his acting.

Those three movies were completely different within the spectrum of emotion and so were his roles.

You can say he's a bad actor all you want, but to dismiss the fact that he has a considerable range is laughable.

Yes you are. You got bent out out of shape because I attacked his range as an actor. But in the same post I said I liked him as well. I've watched enough of his movies to make an accurate evaluation of his acting skills.

Robin? It could work. I'm one of the only people that believes it could work. I don't know why so many are opposed to Robin being in this franchise. Robin is such an important part of the comics and the Batman mythology in general. And we know Christopher Nolan can do no wrong. He can make anything work, and I think Robin could work. And besides, Gordon-Levitt just looks like a perfect fit for Robin.

You know how people have been speculating that the film is about trying to "break" Batman (Bane literally doing it). Well, maybe Robin is what Batman needs. He is what saves.

My other theory is he is going to bring back The Joker. He and Heath Ledger kinda look alike, and with makeup, character might look very similar. I could totally see it work.

We'll see who they cast him as. I've never thought much of him as an actor though. If he gets cast as the riddler I may skip the movie.

Even if they do look alike, that doesn't mean ANYONE, including JGL, can pull off The Joker like Ledger did.Razor-Lazor

I'm pretty sure Nolan will add an opening scene where Batman ultimately defeats the Joker without showing his face, maybe a voice clip of Ledger.

He's not going to be playing the Joker. Nolan's already said he won't be bringing that character back.

All signs point to Robin as I can't think of a villian in the Rouge's gallery he would fit without stretching the base villain.
