Yeah, same here... I just personally don't like the sound of it. It's not very pleasant to me, and it doesn't really entertain me or make me laugh either.

Rap, not alot of fans here on OT. Its critisized alot for its foul lyrics and themes. Just because they talk about the "gangster" lifestyle doesnt mean the song is actually bad, take 50 cent for example, alot of his songs are about money like the song "I get money" yeh it talks about his money, but the actual song is still good, good beat, fun to listen to, just plain ol good music. He can talk about w/e he wants as long as it sounds good and it does. So i dont really see a problem with what any1 says in a song aslong as it sounds good. Ofcourse there are alot of other rap/hip-hop artists who dont mention anything like that such as Immortal Technique, he talks about politics and the dangers of drugs, are you gonna hate him just because he raps?GarchomPro

No, just no. If your going to defend rap as a genre of music, DON'T use fiddy as an example. His music is horrible in every way imaginable.

Immortal Technique is alright though.

It's not that I hate RAP, I dont agree with some artists ideas of lyrics.

Women considered as tools and nothing but good for sex and bragging and violence isn't a great influence on the younger crowd which listens to it.

Although I did like some of 2pacs stuff. Good rapper.

I hate 50 Cent...He lies way too much. Remember when he got shot 7 times, three times in the face? Oh wait! He didn't! He only got shot twice in the leg from a medical report!

He thinks he became famous by himself, but it was really Eminem helping him. Dr. Dre didn't want 50 on the team, but Eminem did.

The songs suck because anything can be said, and it will become famous. Examples? Soulja Boy, This is Why I'm Hot, Lean Like a Cholo, etc.

Rap USED to be good. Now, the only thing I listen to is Reggaeton. Even though the songs have gangster lyrics, at least they have more words than "This is why I'm hot, this is why I'm hot."

Rap (At least the new and/or mainstream stuff) is a bad influence on kids,only ignorant people think that even little kids don't listen to it,it has a bad influence on the youth,it promotes crime and violence,and its one of the main factors why the vast majority of modern teenagers are imcompetent.
