I do play guitar. I own a Gibson Les Paul and I play various genres. Such as Steve Vai, Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden.
Why did that sound so much like an advertisement.
im not really a "guitarist" i just mess around mostly...
ive got a strat and a washburn acoustic
i like to play metal but it doesnt sound right on my cheap amp
i play dylan usually on my acoustic
i suck at guitar.
i wish i could play it, but it doesn't come naturally to me.
i can draw though. that's my talent.
dont have my camera with me so i cant post actual pics but this is exactly how it looks
Boogie_J

Ya know, Black Beauty is the name of a Gibson guitar. :?
Unless that's a joke. In which case, nice one.
If your guitar is the guitar I think it is, then you have that cheap strat knockoff.airg6Nah, there's an actual starcaster model, it's a semi hollow, they're just not very common or well used and known, but there are starcaster stratocasters
Nice one... As for me I play whatever I like.... I started out playing stuff like Nirvana, or Oasis, Ramones etc... I've moved onto learning proper scales and metal (Particularly Megadeth).
I own a Jackson, the Kelly series:

Starcasters are those guitars they sell at Wal-Mart and Target...
They suck. Badly. Extremely badly.
The man also makes himself sound like an ass.a guitar doesnt make the man, the man makes the guitar

a guitar doesnt make the man, the man makes the guitar
im getting wicked sound outta this 'walmart model'
go kiss your gibson les paul loser
Alright, if your so great, let's hear you play. And I don't have a Les Paul, dumbass. There isn't just Fender Strats (or in your case, Starcasters) and Les Pauls. Les Pauls are too expensive and are overrated. There are cheaper but still great guitars, like P.R.S., or even Fenders, since they don't cost that much (though I can't afford one).oh and how long have you been playing?

Not to be so sensitive and not take it so personally. At the end of the day, he's a guy on an internet forum that you'll never meet man.Ignore and play your heart out...

wait so you cant even afford a guitar yet you call starcasters crappy? (i'm assuming you cant even play either)
anyways i've been playing close to a year
I disagree. They sound decent, they're still Fenders. The only problems I have with mine right now is something that would have happened with any guitar if you treated it like I did.

..omfg. I didn't say I couldn't afford a guitar. Your guitar costs (I think) $200. A (good) Les Paul costs about $2000. And the guitar I have costs about $300. And wtf your assumption? Dumbass. What can you even play?A good Les Paul costs $1000 I'm pretty sure. And my friend got a refurbished one for $550, it sounds just as good...omfg. I didn't say I couldn't afford a guitar. Are you guys really gonna let anonymous text get in the way of life and the the way you play your guitars? To be honest, I started playing crappy guitars with stiff strings on purpose, makes later experiences a whole lot better and enhances your fingering. At least thats what happened to me. I play fine. Your acting so tight, like the internet's gonna kill you.angusclone2Listen to this man.My first electric guitar I started playing was a battered Epiphone that was missing its first string... the strings were also very rough on the fingers.I came out of it the better.

Yeah, I know, sometimes a meh guitar can help you get better, but at least your guitar was an Epiphone. I mean they don't even sell those starcasters on guitar center's website because they suck so much ass, and this guy comes in here like he's a guitar god, telling everyone he's better than them.
oh and missing first string? lol buy some new strings?

Playing those messed up guitars is kind of fun, it's like a challenge to make something sound good.

Indeed... but still... it all depends on your skill.Rory Gallagher played the same weather worn guitar throughout his career, and he was the best blues guitarist beside Robert Johnson. It would be advised that you get a better guitar, but it dosn't matter so much.
Not that I'm saying he's good.We still need proof.
Alright, because people keep calling it a cheap strat knockoff, if he's not lying, this is what he has..
