Just bought a rubik's cube. Has anyone here solved one?

Out of the blue yesterday i deceded to buy a rubik's cube and solve one. Well i have been working on and off on it for a day now and so far have just one side solved (blue) Lol i have no clue why i have this sudden urge to solve one of these things but i am, im making it something of a "real life achievement" =). Anyhows, has anyone here solved one? And also i am curious how long it took you.
