So i just got back from the Spider Man 3 midnight release and I have to say it was a really good movie and yet at the same time a disapointing movie. It had the feeling that both of the originals had but felt as though it was lacking a bit in the story and really focused on the amazing visuals. It was not as packed in as everyone had claimed it would be, while we do meet characters that were in the comics they are not of importance. It was as i said a really good movie i would probably give it a 3.5 out of 4 rating wise. It was very enjoyable but as i mentioned I wish i could just say what i disliked and liked but im not going to get banned by someone that claims im destroying parts of the movie so i will just leave it at that. Very enjoyable, great movie go see it.zeldafan00013
I just got back a couple of minutes ago from the midnight showing, and let me tell you, it was awesome!!! It was what I expected and not what I expected at the same time. It's hard to explain. I'd give it a 3.7 out of 4.
NOOO!!!! Peter is Emo? This movie has been out in Taiwan for a few days actually but i never went to see it. I'll probably watch it tonight or tomorrow.
Regarding the emo peter, did they just make him emo to connect with emo kids around the world; or was it called for? I would hate to thing that spiderman is playing down to emo's, because i hate them.
SUCKED.
Emo Peter= not a hit. Also, not enough action for a superhero movie. What else? Not enough Venom. HORRIBLE dialogue 'I protected you in high school and now I'm gonna kick your little ***.' Crappy ending, stupid musical numbers, and way too many distractions as for as laughs go.
I'm so disappointed.
there are going to be people who like this movie and people who hate it. one of the main reasons is
venom died, or did he?.....
. now for all of those who agree with this reason click here. possiblity he will be back. okay off that subject on to a new. the developing new villians was going to be harder this time around with two new ones. though they did a good job with telling sandmans story, but there wasnt enough hatred between brock and peter for me to develop the hatred that venom is supposed to have.. i feel that venom was thrown in this to please the fans.
the battle between harry and peter was great, that whole thing just developed from the first movie till this one. cant complain there. three villians was a lot. i think they should have stuck to sandman and harry, or harry and brock aka venom. sure yet.
funny parts were cool, especially, bruce cambells part. sure there were parts where people were like" thats hecka corny" but parkers a nerd. what do you expect.
dark peter was different, showed a different side(people will say emo. but a hairdue doesnt make you emo). anger is not an emo thing either and thats what the symbiote did was feed off anger like it did to peter.
all in all it was a good end to this trilogy, closed a lot of things that led up to this point, and still leaves it open for another one which of course there will be.
hate it, like it, whatever. i give it a 4/5
Awful. Just awful. The audience I was seeing it with seemed to be filled with a bunch of baboons with tourettes syndrome, so I may have something of a skewed view here, but it was just awful. The story plods along with "emotional" scenes, interspliced with lavish action sequence after lavish action sequence. The story is idiotic, Peter's "transformation" is a laughable farce. Was Raimi trying to make a super-hero movie, or a musical comedy?
And HOW THE **** do you introduce Venom and kill him off in 15 minutes? You just don't ****ing do that!
well, thanks for teh spoilers, I'm not going to ever see it anyways, might as well piss some people off at school and/or work
it does sound pretty bad, never been a fan of spiderman (omg teh rhyme)
From reading a lot of comments regarding spider-man 3, I'd wager that most of the people never really read the comics, so it doesn't come as a big surprise that it doesn't make much sense to them. But I can assure you, that most of what's in the movie is actually in line with what happened in the comics. It's not all exactly the same because it's impossible to cram years worth of plot into one single movie, but the gist of it matches what's in the comics.
Sandman regretting his actions at the end of the movie, do match with the comic.. mostly. In the comic, Flint Marko was originally petty thief, like he is in the movie. However, when he got turned into the Sandman, he sort of went insane because of it. That's what changed him into a real villain, far as I remember. But eventually he does regain his sanity somehow, and he becomes one of the good guys. Later on, though, he goes bonkers again, and he turns into a villain again.. What happens after that, I don't know lol.
Peter is NOT emo in the movie. Anyone claiming that really don't know what they're talking about, both in regards to spider-man itself, as well as the subject of emo:
Like dr. Connors says in the movie, the symbiote (the black suit) latches onto a host, and feeds off aggression. There's more to the symbiote than that, though, but to put it simply, it bonds to a host, and then brings out the worst in that person. The reason why Peter came accross as emo to some people is because at heart, he's a nice guy, and the symbiote is basically trying to forcibly change him into a bad guy instead. The emo appearance that he has is basically a way to visually show the effect that the suit has on him.
The only reason why it doesn't succesfully bond to him, is because being evil is not in Peter's nature. He's an overly nice guy, that would rather die than doing the wrong thing. He puts doing the right thing over his own happiness, whereas Eddie Brock does the exact opposite. Brock is selfish, hates the world, and pitties himself--all perfect emotions for the symbiote to feed on.
As for the story between Peter and Harry, that matches the story in the comics as well as the rest of the movie. And anyone who's read the comics, will know that it does.
The acting, however, was not all that fantastic, but it never really was even though I loved all three movies. Maybe it's just me, but all the actors seemed to be over-acting in all 3 movies. At some times, this method of acting did fit nicely with the feel of te movies, but there were also quite a few times where the actors should've toned it down just a bit, and not lay it on so extremely thick. But that is really my only complaint with any of the spider-man movies.
On a sidenote: I do agree that one movie was not enough to properly flesh out the plot of all the villains in it. It might've been a better idea if they had spread it out over several movies, instead of just one.
