Miami Vice (2006) - Michael Mann
Confusing dialogue, slow pacing, little character or just stereotypes, cliche story.
Really disappointed after the directors previous film, which was excellent.

Memento was AWESOME. Chris Nolan is the man. You know you got skills if you can tell a story backwards better than most directors can forwards.
michael mann's 5 best movies: manhunter, last of the mohicans, heat, the insider, thief. all of them terrific.JnWycliffeI love Last of the Mohicans,i have been to that waterfall that is in the movie.

It's one of my all time favorites. James Caan is a supreme badass in that flick. never saw itIt came out in the eighties and has probably one of THE most detailed planning to execution heists I've ever seen. James Caan has balls the size of Montana in this flick. It is amazing to watch him throw his weight around.
Watching them do the Heists with the Tangerine Dream score in the background is mesmerizing. The dialog is tight with some of the best badass lines from James Caan and the Mafia boss. I'm surprised they haven't remade it yet.
And the scene where he goes to adopt a kid is CLASSIC.
And anybody that goes to a Mafia Capo's house and tells him to his face:
"My money in 24 hours, or you will wear your ass for a hat"
with no sense of fear gets props.

I'll have to check it out. I've liked some of Mann's other movies... mainly his older ones, it seems.[QUOTE="heretrix"]LOVED Thief. It's one of my all time favorites.
