It should have been called something else because it was nothing like the book I AM LEGEND. They changed almost everything and the new story they created was lame in comparison. I don't know what I would have thought of the movie if I had never read the book. I guess it would have been OK.JiveT

Read the book. I cannot stand people who say it is bad because it does not follow the book. It is a alright movie that I found enjoyable. The book was great , albeit really short.

I don't like that argument either, It is true, books often are better, but that is because it is a completely different medium that in all honesty just cannot be compared...

I think the movie was decent, and i think had they tried to follow the original closely it would have been less successful...i was a bit dissappointed by the ending...the books ending was really great and to me this ending was quite lacking...

Plus, there were little things that i didn't like...for instance, how do deer and lions end up in Long Island? Neville had ben broadcasting on the radio for 3 years, the milatary saftey camp in Vermont would have known he was there, why would they have not contacted him? Also, i don't like that the main, male "dark seeker" is able to rig the trap that catches Neville and then sends the dogs after him, there really isn't anything else in the movie to suggest they are capable of this sort of intelligence...

WTF happened to all the cars? they wouldn't be all neatly parked like that.

And where the HELL did the girl come from? All of the bridges were destroyed, which makes me go "WTF?!"
