Overall crap movie

1. Money spinner.

2. Politcal message was strong though - trying to stick up for the yanks for once and make the 3rd world eastern block out to be the real thugs that they are, so well done there.

I miss the days when horror movies had more 'horror' and less 'gross.' Then again, I guess it takes less skill to make a bunch of prosthetic limbs and buckets of blood than genuinely frighten the audience.

What I don't get though, is why people keep seeing this movie. WHY!? DAMMNIT MAN! Don't you realize that you're supporting them!? Good lord! This is why there's no such thing as horror movies anymore, because it's not what the public wants. They don't want to be scared, they just want mindless sex and violence. I dont think this is a horror movie i think its a political movie, its probably aimed at teh Russians but making the Russins the center of it could be a bit dangerous, most people will think thats how they all act over that part of the world so the settings suits whathever things the writer had in mind. Look at all the abuse America gets from all over the world, this is like saying 'Look we are the ones actually dishing out justice in the world and not the ones living in 3rd world condtions whining about how bad the yanks are and how good we are'.

It was just a movie mate, I've been to various countries in the eastern block myself and it's far from what themovie portrayed.

On the contrary, I believe I heard that Hostel 2 and Texas Chainsaw Mass. 3 as well as some similar movies released this summer didn't do nearly as well as they would have done 1-4 years ago. Maybe there's hope.

Actually, the movie was inspired by people in Thailand selling their family members to organized crime. Yet, the movie takes place in Slovakia, which is depicted as a third world country when it really isn't.

Therefore: No. The movie is a complete load of garbage and has absolutely no factual base. The fact that ANYONE ever looked at this movie as educational material should be used as an example of why the human race being the dominant species on our planet defies all logic. In simpler terms: They're idiots. Complete idiots who want to sound like they're smart. And there's nothing that pisses me off more.
