No its not about the ending. There are arguements for both ways about the ending and Nolan left it open for vieweres to debate. My question is about Fischer. Wouldn't he notice that the people that were in his dreams, happen to be the exact same people in the airplane with him? Also how does Tom Hardy's character have the ability to project, im sure its explained early in the film but i missed it.

no i wouldn't but if i was in a room with 6 other people (which he was), and spent hours worth of dreams with them, i would have at least remebered a face or two. he should definetly have recognized Di Caprio's face.
Do you remember the faces of people you meet in your dreams? Think about it, it's always centered on you and your feelings. At least in my dreams people are faceless, unless it's people I already know IRL, before the dream. In Fisher's dream all the characters are most likely faceless, except for his father and uncle.
