Kathy Griffith "Bashes Jesus"

I liked this video, and I think the gentlement defending her made some absolutely great points. What do you think?

a couple of things wrong with the situation

a) who cares what Kathy Griffin says, she's the most annoying person in pretty much all of hollywood

b) why is some assistant professor from temple being interviewed in this situation

c) we all know jesus has a deciding vote in the emmys

I see no difference in what she said, and people thanking Jesus. It's the extreme of both ends.LukeAF24

Well...to be fair...I see a little difference. Obviously what she said was to be funny and "on edge". And usually "edgy" is borderline offensive. Someone thanking jesus is just showing gratitude and person belief and not meant in any way to be offensive.

I don't think she said anything terrible though, and it was even a little funny. And hey...this is america. There is free speech, so something someone might say could offend you.

But I do see the difference.

i think in part she was seeking attention by saying something outrageous, because she's like that. having said that, it was A JOKE. it was a parody of the idiots who get up there and thank jesus. that is all it was, a funny little social commentary. big deal. anyone who got offended by this is borderline retarded. hwan88

I agree it was just a joke, and she WAS just rying to seek attention. But on that same token...I really don't think the people (like that white guy) are retards. I think they, like her, are also just seeking attention.
