Kelloggs basically said they were no longer going to advertise on Breitbart due to "values disconnect." (the article made that one) However, Breitbart of course did not take this kindly and pushed for a boycott, one of them being a #DumpKelloggs hashtag.

Thoughts on this? I clicked the Twitter hashtag and it's quite a show.

Never a good idea regardless of what the hashtag is.

As long as they don't start harassing individual Kelloggs employees, troll away trolls.

Kelloggs entered a consensual agreement, as did Breitbart. Either party is free to leave, so I dont know what the people of Breitbart are bitching about.

I hadn't heard of it either until Clinton started ranting about it. So I checked it out and it is the best conservative news site on the internet. If it sucked the left wouldn't care about it, but it doesn't ... far from it ... and that's why it scares the hell out of them. Best way to describe it is "conservatism with balls". They are totally hostile to the pc crowd (Who soooooo deserve it!) and don't shy away from saying what needs to be said. Thanks for letting me know about it, Hillary. :)

I guess they thought they could do the same with Kelloggs.

There are conservative news sources and there are liberal news sources, but Breirbart spews a disproportionate amount of hate and doesn't even try to be objective. Their top article right now is about how effective their boycott has been since they announced it. Awesome.

Yeah, if it was just a page with giant letters saying "Anyone who disagrees with leftist doctrine is a racist, misogynist, xenophobe, fascist, and homophobe!" then it'd be fabulous and highly informative.

Yeah, if it was just a page with giant letters saying "Anyone who disagrees with us is a racist, misogynist, xenophobe, fascist, and homophobe!" then it'd be fabulous and highly informative.

No. Anyone who's seen me post in OT probably realizes that I'm liberal and my social policies lean left. However, I dislike fake news echo chambers on both sides. I read sites like AddictingInfo before, and the article headline might be something that would appeal to my values, but after reading the article I would usually be left thinking "WTF was that? It was all OpEd with no real or useful facts or data" so I stopped reading those as well.

I would say, however, that Brietbart in particular is one of the worst that isn't some straight up KKK propaganda or misogynist paper. I can look at a lot of conservative viewpoints and say "Okay, while I don't agree with you I can at least understand where you're coming from." BBs articles go way beyond that.

Well, of course. Traditional Republicans are globalists, pro immigration for cheap labor, pro free trade to fatten up investors, etc. Breitbart represents a new kind of conservatism that is less keen on immigration and is more pro worker. Additionally, the old kind is scared shitless of pc dogma and kneels at the altar of it, the new breed fights and attacks it. Gonna be clashes for sure and there has been. But I suspect that seeing that blue wall come crumbling down is going to get some of the traditionalists on-board.

“That is as un-American as it gets.”

Actually, it isn't. This is Kelloggs exercising its very first amendment right, the same amendment right that Breitbart is exercising by printing news that's driving companies away.

Projecting dualism, the tool of the moron. Congrats. I dont support msnbc, addicting info, cnn or any of the other fake news outlets. They are not news outlets, but propaganda machines. I hate to break it to your simplistic fashion, but one can be against neo cons and racists on the right, whilst hating the facist thought controlling sjws who claim to be on the left and support liberal principles. It really is possible.....

Well, good. I was wondering that Kellogg's is making a good move in disowning this bigotry, racism, sexism and transphobia that is Breitbart, which claims to be "Christian" but in fact is doing the opposite of what Christ intended.

If Breitbart.com is dependent in any measure on revenue from corporate advertisers, then it's probably just another establishment mouthpiece masquerading as an anti-establishment site.

Information Clearing House, on the other hand, has never resorted to advertisements to generate revenue, has never operated on a "for profit" basis and almost invariably struggles to cover its operating expenses each month---circumstances that burnish its credentials as a site dedicated to TRUTH.
