I haven't eaten at kfc for so long, half because of that kentucky fried cruelty thing, and half because it's greasy. Don't really want to eat something that looks like that..

What I love is when you rip into a KFC chicken breast and it is riddled with purple arteries and red veins.

That's why I tend to stick with good, old, predictable vegetables.

How about we just watch Kentucky Fried Movie instead.JandurinI loved that movie when I was little; then I made some friends watch it as an adult based on my childhood memories of it. Oh god...

KFC's chickens have VEINS?!
OMG, it's almost as if fried chicken actually comes from an ANIMAL!

If you ever eat good quallity chicken meat, there will not be giant arteries in the breast. They aren't supposed to be in that area of the chicken. So when you make chicken breast at home and you cut into it, there are blue and purple arteries bursting out of it? The circulatory system is generally on the outside of the muscle tissue. Not within. :|Yes, good quality chicken somehow manages to survive without having a means of blood circulation.

Depends. They all have veins in it, though the CONDITION of those veins and arteries can vary.
I can guarantee you that no restaurant is going to cut into every single piece of chicken just to make sure that that PARTICULAR chicken didn't have health problems.
I can tell you that KFC buys its chickens from one of the largest providers in the USA. The largest chicken farming company in the USA probably doesn't become that big by providing the best chicken, but by providing run-of-the-mill chickens cheaply. And when you sell as much chicken as KFC does, it is inevitable that some of the chickens are going to have minor "defects". Chickens are ANIMALS, they don't grow on a damn assembly line and it's impossible to guarantee 100% consistency.
I will however say that KFC's chicken is no different than the chicken found at a typical meat market. I will say that the means of cooking is FAR more important than the actual chicken. And I will say that on the list of potential complaints, "this chicken has blue veins" is a ridiculous complaint.
There is a coupon floating around for a free 2 piece meal that was shown on the Oprah show or something. http://www.unthinkfc.com/
I tried some just last night and I was actually quite impressed---enough to want to try it again.
KFC has suffered from a bad reputation as an "artery clogger", but to be fair they've improved a lot lately ...
Dare I say it? It's actually possible to go to KFC and eat a fairly healthy meal nowadays!

- They've eliminated all the trans fat from their chicken (even the fried chicken).
- There's very little saturated fat in the new grilled chicken---less in two pieces than in a Big Mac!

Of course two pieces have less than saturated fat than a Big Mac. They equate to quite a bit less food. :|
I refuse to touch that blasphemy. Kentucky FRIED Chicken will always be about AND ONLY ABOUT fried chicken.

Trust me it won't be around for long. Here in San Diego, they tested it out (before they took it national like now) about a year or so ago and it was quickly taken off the menue...and most here are health nuts.
