Kiddie Porn Movie Rocks Toronto as 'Feel-Awful' Film of the Year

I know they won't be showing this crap in my town. Not that I really want to see it or anything.

I was actually expecting that Dakota Fanning film where she (being only 12) just filmed a scene in which she is raped and caused outrage amoung, not only film fans and parents, but just human beings as a whole.

Either way, it seems to be the way movies are going these days. Like the horror genre got gradually more and more gore and less and less scare, sex scenes are getting more and more outrages and less and less subtle and vaule.

As long as it's not actual kiddy porn, I'm ok with it.

I won't be watching it though, I try to avoid movies that make me feel bad.

Wow all these violent and sexual movies kinda make me wanna do this stuff in real life (lol). But not really...i mean games are the REAL problem. if 13 year olds got raped in games its totally ok for our youth to go do it. (lol again).

I'm not really buying into the usual reaction of how this is suddenly some new taboo barrier that is being traversed by a new brand of perverted indie filmmakers and that we should suddently be all up in arms. How soon people are to forget Brooke Shield's appearance in the Paramount studio's 1978 film Pretty Baby in which she played a child prostitute and appeared completely nude despite being only 12 years old.

I'll wait until I actually see the films before I pass judgement on how valid the subject matter is explored, although I must admit that neither film is really on my radar as a film of much interest.

Yeah, using the term "kiddie porn" is a little harsh. I'll blame that on Foxnews. I think many of the people who view this movie have a blur between the characters in the movie and the actual people in real life. When I go see a film, I don't even think about the actors/actresses in real life, I pay more attention to the characters they portray in the film.

Im pretty sure the point of the movie is to be the feel awful movie of the year. Cause if anyone went into it and liked the movie and plot then they have something wrong with them, but seeing how everyone didnt like the plot because of what it show, then the director pretty much acheived his goal in making what happens to kids when molested look horrible, and make you sick.

So what? The actress is 18. So what if she's 13 in the movie and gets raped really hard? Field day for the pedophiles! YEAH! They shouldn't whine about it!

pedophilia in real life is awful, just like murder in real life is awful

but when it is in a movie and the actors are of legal age I have as little problem with it as I have with Luke's Uncle Owen being killed by Stormtroopers in Star Wars, the subjet matter of this movie is obviously intense and disturbing so it is up to individuals to decide for themselves whether or not it is something they can handle (I personally won't be watching it), but it certainly should be allowed to be produced
