Both bands are awesome. KsE doesn't make you feel like crap though, they often get confused for being a Christian band because they have positive lyrics, and Howard Jones is an excellent clean singer. Just because they use harsh vocals, doesn't mean they suck...

Make option 5: Listen to nails screaching on a chalkboard.

lets see; a crappy metalcore band (imo all metalcore bands are crappy), or a bad power metal band...i'll go with Dragonforce just because they have a few songs that don't make me want to punch a baby.

for anyone who wants to listen to some good power metal, look up Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, or Stratovarius

Are you kidding? Dragonforce has great guitarists, but the singer is pretty bad. The band would probably be better with no vocals. Howard Jones (KsE) actually has a great voice, and I think the way he contrasts his singing and his screaming in most songs sounds really cool.

imo it's the oposite, Sam Toteman, and Herman Li are pretty average guitarists, they just play really fast, but i think ZP Theart has a pretty good voice, maybe it's just me though, cause i'm used to those power metal style vocals.

I prefer Killswitch Engadge, Dragonforce annoys the hell out of me :|
