Kimbo Slice, is a Miami, Florida-based street fighter turned mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He first appeared in several filmed underground fights which have spread primarily on the Internet. Kimbo has since left street fighting behind and is now putting his efforts towards becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter. Rolling Stone called Slice "The King of the Web Brawlers". Lesnar is beast and quite frankly he is the next big star for the UFC.mohan88Lesnar would ruin Kimbo because he's already top-tier at wrestling, his strikes have looked stronger, cleaner and more accurate than Kimbo's, and Brock is better than Slice on feet and on ground.
Brock just beat Heath herring, a guy who's given Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria a run for his money a few times, as well as chalking up some impressive wins AND impressive losses. He lost his second MMA fight ever to Frank Mir, a former UFC heavyweight champion and BJJ master by *gasp* a submission, but it was fairly close.
Kimbo's beaten James Thompson who got demolished by Butterbean. He's beaten an old Tank Abbott who was always a one trick pony.
There's really no comparison. UFC would love this matchup because it would absolutely embarass EliteXC.
If Kimbo had 4 years of good training prior to the matchup, I think it could very well be at least interesting as Kimbo wouldn't be really green, where Brock is still somewhat untested.
As is though, Brock would dominate Kimbo.
Lesnar?! The steroid pumper that lost a match way to quickly once?Tjeremiah1988
I have before questioned whether lesnar is still on steroids, and I'm no fan of Brock's(his amateurish mockery of Herring in last fight got me riled), but yes, Lesnar. The guy who has one loss on his record, to a RECENT former heavyweight champion. A BJJ black belt, in Frank Mir.
Brock lost to Mir because he was green on the ground and Mir ended up slapping on a sub when Brock opened his defenses.
Kimbo hasn't faced anyone with technical MMA skills, just a bunch of scrubs with mediocre striking skills.
Without his size Lesner would be average at best.
Im gonna disregard Slice as a challanger..because he isnt.I hope to GOD that Lesnar never becomes the UFC heavyweight champion.

lol I don't think you have to worry about Lesnar being the heavyweight champion. He's fun to watch, but he just doesn't have all the skill and experience than some of the other heavyweights. You still gotta watch out for the guy though. His neck is about as big as my torso.

Rumour is he'll face Randy Couture sometime in the future(when Randy re-negotiates a "1 and done" deal with Zuffa/UFC) and a win there would launch him into the title picture. He'd be lined up right after the winner of Liddell-Evans or Machida-Silva.
I don't want him to be the champion either, considering he's ahead of some other heavyweights by a few standard weight c|asses.
Lesnar=265
Couture=220
Kongo/Nog/Mir=240
The only HW at his weight level is 9-0 Shane Carwin. Such a weight difference is kind of ridiculous.
lol srsly brock lesnar is winning?
i watch mma and i know he would have no chance in a fight against kimbo. kimbo is an ****ing tank!

Such a tank that he gassed midway through the first round of the Thompson fight, showcased epically bad striking skills, and couldn't defend himself on numerous occasions throughout the fight?
I'd like to think you're being sarcastic, but experience would have me believe otherwise. :(
Ugh, people that put Kimbo in any kind of MMA discussion are crazy. Hes a joke. And yes Lesnar did lose in 90 seconds, but Mir isnt a joke in any way, and he earned that win, although Masagati (sp) was a little too quick to stand them up when Brock had him down imo.
Kimbo is a side show nothing more. And Ken Shamrock will prove that in October, and hopefully go back out on top instead of getting pwned by Tito 2 times in a row under 3 mins total.
But I digress, for this one I vote Brock (even if I dont like him). The Spider/Rush debate was way more relevant.
InsomniacZombie, Ken Shamrock is washed up old fighter and he won't beat Kimbo and not to mention Shamefull rock has lost last 7 out of 8 matches.mohan88
true enough, but ill bet he still beats kimbo
i'm wondering what will ppl do and say when kimbo slices the competition into bits and pieces. in a fight anyone at any time can get put on their backside. i know if he loses ppl will say he was not experienced enough, but i'm more eager to see what ppl will say if he wins...
idk why ppl are predicting the out come like the fight is rigged or something. once that bell ring about half of that fancy martial arts go out the window and it turns into a street brawl.....i've seen it done so often. but this is where kimbo is at his best. in this sport i really havn't seen anyone else as hungry and durable as kimbo. plenty times he showed his jaw to be made of iron, which at the same time i've seen fighters get dropped from hits that looked like someone smack them instead of punched. itz going to be interesting thats 4 sure.

Street fights have no rules. MMA does. By the book, Kimbo lost his last fight due to TKO because he couldn't defend himself against James Thompson. For some unkown reason, the referee threw the rules out and allowed the match to continue, not to mention Kimbo's questionable winning "(T)KO" flurry, which stunned Thompson more than knocked him out.
I think Kimbo's a good person. He's trained hard and committed to a solid regiment with Bas Rutten, and he's making money for his family and his friends. He's respectable.
I just don't think he's that great of a fighter. He DOES have a good jaw, but his striking sucks, his ground work sucks, his cardio sucks, and his movement/agility is underwhelming. He's still more street brawler than MMA fighter, but that ratio will flip soon enough.
If he beats Ken Shamrock, which shouldn't be too hard because Shammy lost to a journeyman scrub recently, he'll still have fought underwhelming opponents. Yes, anyone can be put on their back in MMA, but within reason. You can't convince me Kimbo would put Fabricio Werdum on his back, or Cheick Kongo or Jeff Monson or Rich Franklin or Lyoto Machida or Wanderlei Silva or any MMA LHW/HW worth mentioning.

i can respect that...but like i said it only takes one blow, and seeing how dedicated Kimbo is....i 'm sure the skills he lacks in will be improving dramatically.Brock will become amazing with more proper training. Kimbo barely won against a no one last fight. I don't think Kimbo would have a chance.GrandTheftHalo
i'm sure he will be a different and more focused fighter the next time we see him. the guy was born to do this.
I think this is the end of Kimbo. Lesnar has really good ground skill, Kimbo (so far) has none. who knows, Kimbo has been training with great trainers.
But yeah, go watch Lesnar, he has much much more experience in the spot lot and in much more highly scenes, champion wrestler. He is definitely going to take it to the floor, so kimbo better be prepared, this is definitely an entertaining fight we got here. lol how kimbo manages to keep things exciting amazes me. lol that bursting cauliflower was amazing! hahahaha

Kimbo can't be taken at the face value we saw last time around, but at the same time, you can't teach BJJ defense in a year's time. Not against a skill level that Shamrock holds. You can't teach striking skills so quickly. He's still going to be very raw and very green.
He's also not young, at 34 and a half. Many fighters retire before this age.
The sad thing is, Kimbo will win the Shamrock match either way. If Shamrock poses too much of a threat on the ground, the ref will stand the match up and keep Kimbo and Shamrock standing, where Shamrock clearly doesn't match-up. Kimbo is the star of EliteXC and they won't let him lose if it's preventable.
