was the saddest movie of my life, yes it beats million dollar baby, schindlers list, and the notebook, if you know someone, anyone of an afghan heritage or are one yourself you owe it to yourslef to go see this movie I just got back from an advanced screening and I'm telling you go see it. Even if you're of non-afghan heritage you owe it to go see this film, it will probably win Oscars.. some might argue that this movie is too blunt and critical but it's not. it's real. the events that happened are all real and based off of the NY times bestselling book... Still conviced everyone from the Middle East is a no good terrorist... I think this movie might change your mind...

thoughts if you've seen it?

please no hate comments.

God Bless.**or not bless since like half of everyone here is atheist, :P**

as stated in post I saw an advance screening.... P.S. I know most parts of it are real cuz my parents have lived through the invasion and have seen what the taliban can do first hand...

that was the most controversial scene in the movie... the families who let their boys participate in that scene were almost shunned from Afghanistan for letting the filthy american director make them do it for money...

P.S. please post spoilers in a spoiler box next time yeah?

The book was fantastic. Although I am from Saudi Arabia, I felt a great deal of sorrow for what Afghanistan has had to go through. I hope what you say is true about the movie, the trailer wasn't that great.

Do yourselves a favor people, read the book instead. I read this book two years ago, and it was the best book I ever read.

If you guys also enjoyed the Kiterunner then you should check out his new book A Thousand Splendid Suns. It's basically about the life of a woman in the Middle East, some say it's even better than the Kiterunner, I would say that it is just as good.
