At least Lady Gaga can play an instrument and has written songs. Even if she does mindless dance numbers, she does them well and doesn't rely on others for material. That gives her bonus points in my book. She's no Santogold, but she's not terrible.
If I was forced to make this choice in real life, I'd have someone repeatedly force my head into a pool of old piss with tonnes of crap it in, and do so repeatedly and pull out everytime I was about to die of drowning.
