The last album I purchased was the eponymous Stooges album. And it is good.

And because I haven't gotten bored of this album cover yet...

Band happens to be in my sig, great album, furious, misanthropic hatred.

Became my favorite album of all time when I bought it earlier this summer. It's absolutely beautiful.

And their other album:

Great too.

Bought this one at the beginning of summer...

Another wonderful Opeth album, albeit different from it's predecessors due to the lineup change.

I bought a few a couple weeks ago, Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan and The Moon and Antarctica by Modest Mouse were probably the best of the bunch.

Albums that I bought were:

Burzum/Aske which was the best purchase

Nightfall by Candlemass, good Doom

Upheavel Of Satanic Might by Black Witchery which is just chaotic

Revelation: The 7th Seal by Lord Belial which was okay but nothing special.

Tom Petty - Highway Companion back in December '07.

I don't buy albums much to be honest, I just get my music off of Napster. 15 bucks a month for all the music I want = win.

I got that album. I liked it for a while then for a long time got out of it and then played it again about a year and a half ago and fell in love with it and wondered why I got out of it.

I guess it's because it's an album you can listen to at once. Eventually you just get tired of it and set it aside for a while. That's what happens to me with Nirvana albums. I'll listen to them for a month and then not listen to them for a year.

Honestly? I have to say Coldplay- Viva la Vida. I am not a big fan of their music at all but it is a great album! But my album of the year so far goes to Disturbed Indestructible.

My Morning Jacket - "Evil Urges"

Finally found it in my local shop, oddly placed in the J category. I guess I'm lucky I was looking for the newest jesu album, or else I wouldn't have found it.

Last few albums I bought were John Coltrane's My Favorite Things on vinyl, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool on CD, and Dilated People's Release Party CD, and Punk Goes Crunk on CD. They were all good. I need to go out and buy some more vinyl soon. My jazz collection is lacking.

I think that's a good album, I've heard people say it's terrible, but I have to say it has its moments. The only song I don't really like is Highly Suspicious.

Whereas, I'm of the mind that Highly Suspicious is the best song on the album. :) It's so quirky and off the walls. Once the chorus hits, it's just pure fun and awesome wrapped in a paper basket.

Evil Urges is a great album, IMHO. It's so varied. They keep their sound throughout the entire album while traversing multiple genres and subgenres of music. That's a feat in itself. I wouldn't say I'm really to claim it's better than Z, but I'd say it's a grower and it's closing distance.

Last time I bought an album was back in February. I got The Black and White Album by The Hives, In Rainbows by Radiohead, and Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace by Foo Fighters. The first two were excellent, but FF was a letdown. I wish Grohl would stop screaming and get big to his "Big Me" era stuff.
