I've always wanted to get other people's thoughts on this. I was taking public transportation the other day and a woman was readin the paper and she was in stiches. Laughing out loud, so hard she was practically crying. I personally think it's pretty awkward and kind of disruptive. Thoughts?

I've done it, although I try to keep it in. But if I wasn't the one doing it, I would probably not care.

I laugh out loud when I read...in fact...just last night. Why is something funny any different when it written rather then spoken?

You think that's bad? When I was in town today, there was a guy walking down the street listening to his mp3 player and signing as loud as he could. In public.

It was so embarassing to listen to.

I think its rude when you laugh at ones misfortunes like when somebody trips but I cant help it, its just too funny! Then I usually have to leave the room.

I've been reading the entire series of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy books.

Try and read through all of them with out laughing out loud. One of my teacher nearly gave me detention, but saw whatI was reading and sent me out in the hall. He asked me to stay after class and we talked about the book together.

Though he wouldn't let me read it in his class again.:(

WHen I chat with my friend on aim...you know my real friend a person who I know and hang out with...I do laugh at the things he says and he laughs at the things I say. I think it works better if you actually know the person in real life and know how they act ect.

Whats wrong with laughing outloud to the written word? I don't get why people are so weird about it maybe becuase they don't read much themselves? Whys it wrong to laugh at something written down but ok if its said outloud? I often find some things are funnier written down. If somethings funny its funny so theres nothing wrong with laughing.
