bionicle evoled and was pretty epic for awhile
never really liked legos. though i did play lego island as a kid if that counts for anything
I think I got the first two generations of Bionicles :3
they're probably in the house somewhere still!
they were nice I think, 'cause they built up good without having bad parts where you need to click two pieces together, but if you push too hard it all falls apart, and then when they were together they were like action figures
WAIT! I think I might have the first two generations, then one (the third generation? or one in between?) that were smaller ones, maybe like a birdie. They curled up into balls and could hang inside their tubes.
edit: I think I have the McDonalds series too. :L
edit: I donno what ones I have. I got a bunch.

Oh that brings me back...me and my bro used to play for hours on end with them; coming up with our own adventures and pretending to do battle.
*sigh* Such simpler times. Can't believe the discontinued it though and all for what? Hero Factory? IT'S THE SAME @#$%ING THING! What the heck?

How exactly was it a joke? the story was solid until 2009. In 2001, the sets were cool, nice Technic ability. Same for 2002 and 2003. 2004 came along and the story was just as cool, and the sets were still unique. 2005 came along and things started to fall, the storyline for 2005 was shallow and too confusing. 2006 sets and story were awesome again, gotta love the Piraka, and the story for 2006 was eerie. 2007, set quality went down, Technic ability was officially gone. The Story was still holding up very well though. 2008 comes up, the sets are still simplified as were the 2007 ones. but, as i have said, the story was still boss. But, then came 2009, and declining set quality combined with a now very shallow and bland story made 2009 a bad year for Bionicle. And 2010 was a downright JOKE. 6 sets, all under 20 pieces combined with 2 comics in 1 year compared to the usual 6 or 7. After 2008, Bionicle was crap and 2010 was a joke.bionicle after series 2 was a joke. they kept tangenting the whole lineup now they have that sissy hero factory garbadge

I got all the original's, all of the Toa Nuva sets, most of the Toa Metru, most of the Piraka's, I think all of the Borhok, all the Rahkshi, most of the Toa Inika, half of the air generation (the flying one or the "Last Battle Generation" as some say it is), I think one Hordika, most of the Bohrok-Kai, and most of the Barraki. Along with some special BIONCILE's thrown in here and there.
....I was a bit of a BIONICLE fan back in the day.

I loved bionicle, but i did not like it until 2008, so i pretty much missed all the good stuff. I've been playing with LEGOs since the early 80s, so by the time Bionicle came out, I was much more interested in the more realistic stuff. Bionicle seemed to be LEGOs response to the collectible card game trend, but it never seemed to get very big. Some of the figured were cool though.
