Leona Lewis vs Mariah Carey - whos better?

Ok so the topic is kind of self explanatory. Who do you think is better - Leona Lewis vs Mariah Carey? Personally I think its Leona. Granted Leona is not as well established as Mariah, and may possibly not have as large a tone register as Mariah, but she does make up for it in her modesty, attitude and the feeling in her songs. However, i do think that Mariah is a lot more established and may possibly still be around if Leona goes. Moreover, Mariah's register means that she can sing in dolphin pitch lol (if thats what its called - cant really remember). However, i think that Mariah is a bit of a spoiled diva and think that the world revolves around her, as well as currently making more pop songs rather than her usual ballad type stuff.

Mariah---cause she's done it for MANY years with grammys and other awards to show for. When Leona has done the things Mariah's done--then we can talk comparisons.

I am not Mariah fan (not my type of music) but this is no contest.

Leona is a TERRIBLE singer. I cannot STAND hearing her try and "sing". She overembelishes everything to the point of her "singing" being ridiculous.....

Mariah has a very powerful voice however and even if I can't stand her music I can recognize her talent.

I hate Mariah Carey. She is completely childish and she doesn't have any class. I once saw her sit on PDiddy's lap during an award show. He was trying to ignore her but she wraped her arms around him and basically tried making out with him during the awards show. Also lately her videos completely7 suck. She is trying to hold onto her youth when she really shouldn't be because she acts like a 13 year old girl at times. She does have a nice voice though.

I find some of Leona Lewis' songs to be far inferior than what she could be singing.

Mariah Carrey has a voice with spectacular range and Leona Lewis's voice is just beautiful.

Can you clarify what you mean by saying that neither are really that tallented at all?

Cause I get the feeling you are judging by the songs they sing and not their voices.
