Lets us reverse dis trend yall - (Slide me some skin, soul brother!)

Gents, it is time we reversed this trend of things being named to sound "radical" and "gnarley"

Case in point: BLU-Ray (As I discussed in my other thread) but I suspect the crime boss behind this is a mysterious black box called "Xbox360".

Can you think of any others?! Sham-wow perhaps?

To reverse this trend I would like people to now only refer to it as "Xbox Three Hundred and Sixty" in all your posts.

Say it with me now!! "Xbox Three Hundred and Sixty".

sometimes i like using slang around english majors, not only does it take them much longer to get their points across...they are oblivious to the cool urban tongue that is meant for quick conversations.

Examples

Person 1: wat sup homie, wat it do?

me: can't call it, just chilling macking with some honies.

Person 1: aight yo, i'll get up wit you later.

me: no doubt, peace yo

me: i'm not quite sure yet, but right now i have some pretty young ladies over, we're just relaxing and conversing about any and everything, you know... blah, blah, blah.

Person 2: that sounds really fun, oh well, maybe we can get together some other time?

me: *sigh * i'm sure, but i'll have to check my schedule and get back to you.

basically the same conversation, but person 2 makes it longer and potentially will drag out the conversation with his choice of words. Person 1 is right to the point and with no indications of prolonging shyskillz time with the ladiez..
