Personally i think the goverment should be minimalistic but i also think goverment owned corporations is a good idea such as instead of the NHS you get health insurance and you can choose to buy it from the state or privately, though they both opperate that same way. Also i like the idea of public works and national service, with all unemployed being employed by the state after 6 months if they want to receive the dole. Though the military should primaraly be deffensive, with the national service existing to instil disipline and so that the unemployed can quickly be mobilised into a fighting force allowing for a very small standing military.
