Wow, really? They just can't let it go can they. Trump already won Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and now Michigan. In order for this recount to change the outcome of the election Hillary would have to win all three states, which means that she'd have to beat Trump by over 100,000 votes (10,000 in Michigan, 30,000 in Wisconsin and 60,000 in Pennsylvania). That's next to impossible of happening, so what's the point?

What, are they going to say the election was rigged? Did the Russians hack the paper ballots?

Apparently there is some concerns over a few states results. If there isn't anything wonky going on then nothing changes. If something did go on......what's the harm in double checking? Nothing really.

The evidence I've seen cited for the concerns are that there was a greater differential in counties with electric voting machines - this screams 'false causality'.

What I read had something to do with foreign interference. Nonetheless no harm can come from a recount.

Useless.. The few states they are talking about wouldn't set Hillary over the 270 she would win if they suddenly switched to her camp.. And the decision would go to congress.. Who controls Congress right now?

Better to be safe then sorry. Start the recount. Every single vote counts. If we fix one mistake, its a job well done.

They need to be recounting the states that hillary won, there was voter fraud happening and it certainly wasn't happening for Trump. Dead people and illegals voting for Hillary is pretty damn low. Trump won you freaking babies, just accept reality already.

If they flipped those three states she'd be at 278. Now I'm not a mathematician but I'm pretty sure 278 is more than half of 538.

It becomes pretty obvious that massive collusion is involved to get the Clinton family back in the white house. The question really becomes why? Bernie would have likely curb stomped Trump and I would have been behind him but they chose the most compromised person possible. It's pretty ridiculous.

Good, they should double-check and make sure it was done accurately and with no interference.

If it wasn't the results would stand, but otherwise, see what the accurate stats are and go from there.

Why can't they take those millions and donate it to poor people? I'm pretty sure the all republican house would have to vote on it anyway and we know what they'll do at this point so seems such a waste.

All I'll say is that if the votes get recounted and it somehow changes the results of the election, this had better be done with the utmost transparency. In the extremely unlikely event that Clinton was actually the winner, there'd better be no question about it.

Unlikely? She was leading in polls. I'm not sure how unlikely it is...plus the states in question generally do go blue.

Why is that the lowest?

Trump has won, but if the win is not legit then he should of course not have those states.

I do not like Stein or her lame arguments as to why she is the one wanting the recount, but as a keen supporter of democracy, a recount is and can not be bad, as long as they make sure the recount is done prober and by equal number of democrats and republicans. A recount is only there to make sure everything went legit.

You would have to flip all three states.. Something incredibly unlikely.. Especially when you look at states like Michigan where Clinton was not liked, and Bernie Sanders beat her soundly in the primary.. Clinton conceded, deal with it.. People should be more concerned with the fact that it seems like the DNC haven't learned a god damned thing from this election with their rhetoric and policies..

Interestingly the Constitution allows the EC to vote against the apparent EC win if they deem it.

Never hurt to double check, my biggest worry is how much it would cost and how much would it take. Is the money Jill Stein covering the costs? Anyway, money shouldn't stand in the way of a recount.

Total waste of time and money. I don't remember how many votes were changed by the 2000 Florida recount but I do know it was barely anything. Results need to be hugely tighter than this for a recount to have any chance of changing things. But who knows, maybe this whole thing is a scam by Stein. Clinton seems to realize it's a waste of time.

I get the sense that Clinton understands the political difference of being the one to ask for a recount and a recount happening that she didn't ask for. If she asks for a recount and ends up winning people will likely see it as her working her inside contacts to make something happen that perhaps shouldn't. If someone else demands a recount and Hillary wins, Hillary can say that this isn't something she saw coming or had anything to do with, but the people should get what they want.

But it's a recount that's totally impossible to change anything. Wasn't the difference in Florida in 2000 only around 500 votes? Despite how close that was the recount still failed to accomplish anything. Hoping you can overturn a lead of 10,000 votes in a recount is like hoping for pigs to start flying.

There's no need to get worked up about it if you really think it won't make a difference. For the record I think it won't make a difference either, so let them recount a hundred times because the numbers are what they are.

I actually don't care. I'm just amazed at the stupidity of it and that donors are willing to flush money down the toilet for something that has no chance whatsoever. I also find it amusing that so much was made of Trump's refusal to say he'd automatically accept election results and here we are with leftists grasping for an impossible miracle to alter election results, lol.

I've been witnessing republicans doing that for various things for the last eight years now so I'm not at all surprised to see other people doing the same shit.

Clinton doesn't even want a recount. And her health is in no state to effectively perform the duties of the presidency.

The stress and demands of the job may lead to her death sooner than later. She's already moving on. And so should her supporters.
