[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"][QUOTE="CptJSparrow"][QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"] [QUOTE="CptJSparrow"][QUOTE="camreeno360"]I can't tell what the hell would happen to your mind. If you got shot in the head right now, would your thoughts just hault and you just die, or would your mind go on while your body is dead? I just can't think about it because it hurts my brain to figure out.CptJSparrow
As your mind is a construct of your brain and when you die your brain suffocates and dies, your mind would cease to function.your thoughts are justed stored solid matter, they are made up of energy. Energy is constant, I wonder, does those thoughts in energy form leave the body, and can those thoughts and memories still exist. The brain just runs the body, but the actual thought process and memories are energy. what happens to it when you die.
Such energy is stored within the brain and without the brain storing this information, they cannot function. If you have damage to your brain and lose your memory, where did they go if they are energy in the way that you speak of it? What remains of your body will become the nutrition of decomposers and bacteria, and will consequentially become part of new decomposers and bacteria. However these new organisms won't inherit your memories.says you, but in this universe anything is possible and no one can ever say one set thing happens. WHos to say the energy storing your memories enter the air, and every so often collects together forming ghosts. Or it goes into another being, in an unborn baby, and he is born with your old memories stored, basically reincarnation
Lack of evidence. Does the baby remember these things after it's infancy? If so, where are all of our old presidents at now for example? "Anything" is not possible in the universe. The universe is fundamental. While we don't know everything of course, it behaves in a fundamental way and therefore everything conceivable isn't possible.
Second, where is this energy leaving the body? Do you have some sort of research that shows it leaving the body upon death? Where are the ghosts (so-called ghost detection is a pseudoscience.)?whos not to say its not the 21 grams we lose at death or something. And yes everything is possible. Anyone who says other wise is simple minded and must look outside the box. everything we know is based souly off info we have collected on earth and thoeries we have madehere. However you dont know if on other planets things happen that scientist would drop there jaws and go WTF!! there is an unlimited amount of knowledge we niether know and will never know. superman could be real, ghost could be, aliens that breath in space, or dont need the fundemental elements organisms need to survive. They say theres no life on mars, who not to say its an invisible race of aliens? yes these sound ridiculous but you can neither prove or disprove these because it could be something we have yet to discover or canexplain. i keep an open mind to everything, whether or not they seem crazy, but who am i, or you or anyone to say what i say is untrue when you and everyone dont truelly know if it is or isnt.
