I'm only 30 years old, and in the short time between me being a fun loving kid and my current status of pissed off adult, I have noticed exactly how ridiculous America is/has become.

We live in a country where....

We are shown basically real time bombing campaigns on TV, but people go nuts if a nipple makes an appearance.

Where they bleep out words like "drugs" and "heroin" on radio stations.

Freedom is nothing more than an illusion. Think you're free? Think again.

People are arrested and sent to prison for a very long time for committing victimless crimes.

People are arrested for possession of a certain substance that government agencies have been caught transporting (http://djd.newsvine.com/_news/2007/09/29/993329-cia-plane-crashes-in-yucatan-carrying-32-tons-of-cocaine)

Lots of feeble minded twist like to carry on about how "free" they are. These people must not pay attention to what happens if they forget to pay their property taxess. In a truly free nation, the government couldn't come take your house.

We live in a nation where elected first time politicians go to DC and are worth maybe a few hundred grand, but when they leave office, they are worth millions.

Lets be honest here, most people in the U.S. are just plain stupid. They naively believe their "freedoms" and "rights" trump everyone elses. If they see/hear/read something they disagree with, they don't just ignore it, they cry out for it to be banned.

They allow more of our liberty to be taken away, usually in the name of "protecting the children". They allow more of our money to be stolen from us by government in the name of "being compassionate".

They allow the government to infringe on more and more of our rights in the name of "fighting terror", yet they continue to allow the jackasses in DC to leave our borders wide open. Yea, very effective "war" strategy there, leave your front door wide open.

I could go on and on, but I think this might give the gist of the sad state this nation is in.

Nuclear obliteration couldn't really damage us any more, who knows, it might be just the thing we need to start over. I wouldn't be opposed to it.

the solution is to impose term limits on Congress. actually, that may not solve much if anything, but that's the only major thing I think people can pull through these days.

You're exactly right on pretty much everything, but I believe it's possible for people to make a difference if we had a strong youthful leader to guide away the average Joe from these illusions.

You will probably be flamed for this, I can just see the "WELL THEN LEAVE" posts now but this is exactly how the founding fathers felt in 18th century America. My advice, be constructively with this and do something to make America even a little bit better. Right a letter to a congressman, campaign for a canidate you like, write a blog about it, maybe even run for office one day and actually make the changes you want to make.

Well..i dont' want to get nuked. I agree with alot of what you have said though...except the nuking part...if anything that would just make it worse and people would probably have even more of their rights taken away.

It could be a non-violent rebellion...if we elect good people to congress then that could be considered a rebellion as well.

Dude I went thought that phase when I was 16. Of course there is a lot of BS and hypocrisy in our nation, its run by humans after all. But, its the things that exist outside of the range of societal control that are the true wonders of living in the US. Like hanging out on at the lake, or taking a dump at work on the clock.

This is why I live to satisfy myself (mostly). If you're sitting there at home reading crap like that all day, of course you're going to be mad. Call me a sheep for letting it go on, but life's short and uhm...I want to live a very happy one.

unlesss you are born into money and your parents are paying tuition then you have to get grants which is about 5 percent change right now. Getting a loan is signing your life away. You end up paying ten times the amount due to inflation and interest rates fluctuating during your life. Not to mention all the late penalties because you are struggling at the beginning of your carrer.

It cracks me up when people say something that is "Easier Said Than Done!"

Giving personal advice or psychological advice online is very bad because you don't have the time to fully assess the individuals situation and you more than likley have no idea what you are talking about you are just trying to impress others.

Guess what, America is set up for you to be in debt for life and that makes it almost impossible to live.

The great lakes has hundreds of miles of issolated white sandy beaches in Canada and the US. In July and August the water temps in Lake Huron can get into the low 70s.

Can you explain why me thinking I'm free is incorrect? I need examples.

Can you explain who the government is suppose to function without taxes?

Can you please point out who elects the people into Congress?

Can you point out who is in charge of their own education?

Can you tell me what you expect to happen to people who break the law?

Do you have a better solution to the War on Terror?

Answer those questions before you begin to critize life in America.

Get your masks, boys. I feel a revolution coming.

Of course, since I'm Canadian, I won't be participating. But I'll be there in spirit, and in the end, isn't that really all that matters?

I'm perfectly fine with my life the way it is. Hating the country I live in just to be rebellious doesn't interest me at all. On that note, I won't defend our government, as I know nothing about it besides the conspiracies we all hear. I don't take sides on this matter.

Oh noez!

Life in the US is so bad, I mean i just hate this computer that I'm using to type this message; and to tip it off, I get to vote as well.

Oh noez, what am I going to do with all this money I got.

Me not like the USA.

Yeeaza, Oh no, I'm drinking at work and posting at GS and Its ok... Damn America is so bad to me. I hope my girl friend picks me up soon so I dont have to use my gas, and drive home drunk back to my house (that I own) to see my new puppy. It could be a lot worse. My mom does mission work in Haiti, where people suffer everyday and have little hope. A lot of people in the US dont know how lucky they are. Its like someone who has a portable generator complaining when a storm knocks out thier electricity.

Someone always pulls this off and that's exactly why it'll get worse, as long as you have these things people think nothing is wrong. As if votes mean anything, you only get a choice of two elitists. Economy is going in the tank so save that money of yours :|
I love our country, if you don't like America than leave.XboxGS
This is also pure fail, don't question anything, let's just let Nazis take over.
