Are you going to try to change the world for a better place to live for everyone, or are you just going to live, enjoy it the best you can, and then die?

Apathy is not an excuse for simply existing, contributing to the carbon footprint, putting your ego out there for a few brief moments in time on the internet, and then dying, with only a few family members and close friends remembering you. What kind of life is that?!blasted_panties
A life 99% of the 86 billion people on the planet have lived. Sad as it may seem.
I'm gonna go on a limb here. I'm just gonna enjoy what I have left at the age of 26, having just coughed out blood due to chain smoking. I think life is beautiful if you make the most out of it. NitRaTe
If you are still alive, you can still contribute to the collective of Humanity, without wallowing completely in self-pity.

Wander.
I would like to help people throughout the course of my life, though. I've been considering joining the Peace Corps. after I fulfill my Army obligation.

I don't think it has to be one or the other. I'm aiming for both.
A little of both, hopefully. I used to want to be a lawyer, until I discovered that Law is a souless and corrupted institution that bends to the will of special interests and doesn't give a damn about the people.
Now I want to do something with philosophy, which means I'll probably be a University teacher.Â
To say that I seek to enjoy my life actually means I seek to change the world to make it a better place.
When I say change the world, I mean to spread the glory of Christ in people's lives.

AKA run around ramming your religious beliefs down other people's throats. Maybe they can make up their own mind?
Sorry, I'm really not trying to turn this into another religious argument, I just had to make my point.
anyway, I plan on doing both of the options in the original post.

I wouldn't be any different than how I interact with people here. If I come off as forcing my beliefs on others then everyone seems to force their beliefs on one another...
Live my life they way I want to. If I am able to change the world in the process that is just a bonus.
