[QUOTE="MasterBolt360"] I'm sure Wayne is a really down to earth person, and I'm sure HE wouldn't want to crucify YOU if you told him that. He would simply tell you each musician is different, and that people need to learn that. Anything that is played on the radio is music, and if you can't call it that, I'd love for you to explain to me what it is. MasterBolt360
Music to me has to meet a few criteria or it's not music in my opinion. One, the people performing it have to be able to play their own instruments, two, it can't be sampled from other musicians it has to be original three, you have to be able to at least SING. Most rap barely meets any of these 3 criteria which I don't think is too much to ask.
And let me tell you being played on the radio means SQUAT. Record companies pay radio stations to play music for exposure. Radio play is only the fetus in the whole music child of a band. it means squat.
Actually, being on the radio means the song was catchy enough to be broadcasted to the world, and as you said, "Music to me has to meet a few criteria or it's not music in my opinion." So you still havn't defined music as a fact. Oh, also, is "non-music" awarded Grammys?

YOu're going to actually use the GRAMMY'S as defense of Lil Wayne? Dude the Grammy's have been nominating some of the worst music in history. So don't even bother lol. Yeah I'm going to say non music is awarded Grammys. What was that awful crappy song by Gnarles Barkley? It SUCKED and it won a Grammy for the best ALBUM of the year even though that was the only song they EVER had out. Where are they now, NOWHERE. So your defense sucks, the Grammys have been a joke since the birth of MTV.
