Lil Wayne Rebirth...

For those who like Lil Wayne, what did you think. Its not often we get a rapper going rock.

I thought it was alright. The talent is there but its obvious that the different direction Lil Wayne is not experienced in. If he wants to continue this, he needs to hone his skills as a rocker.

He is decent but he definetly doesnt consider the hype to be considered the best "rapper", i think some people ride on him way too much imo.

I haven't liked any wayne albums since Tha Carter and people do ride him WAY to much.

He is one of the best, so its natural there will also be alot of people who hate him.

I think this new album has rough edges. If he wants to pursue rock in the future get better influences than Coldplay.

I have HATED lil wayne with a passion for the longest time, but there is something about the song "Drop the World" that i cant get enough of. I am also very picky when it comes to rap, but Drop the World is just a great song.

I really only liked Ground Zero and Drop The World. Now the Young Money album, that was pretty good, even if it is pretty much all sex, money, and poop/toilet metaphors.

He wont continue it. I really enjoyed it, I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan of wayne though, it was good music. It might not have been good rap or good rock, it's kinda somewhere in the middle, whatever it was it was good music and enjoyable :)Brainkiller05

Just listen to this song. It's pathetic! What the hell was he thinking?

he is horrible, his raps was great until carter 3 came out.

And Now Hes doing a rock album? the tracks are horrid, and then his singing is covered up with autotune, because he knows he cant sing.

This is a great song.

His voice is really bad when it comes to rock. It works for his rap stuff since that doesn't need a good singing voice, but in his rock songs it just sounds awful.

To be honest, I'm a metalhead, and I like this. I dabble hip hop occasionally like Mos Def, Talib Kweli and the like ,but I think that Rebirth is an interesting and good album. It's not Lil' Wayne's norm, but I appreciate the fact that he is man enough to try something different, whether it flops commercially or not. It's not one of my favorite albums of 2010, but I do like it. "Drop The World" is one of my favorites off it. Shushyne4np2ne

Ok, let me just say I absolutely hate the music Lil Wayne makes. His voice makes me cringe and his music is just overall bad. This album just reinforces me thoughts on the guy.

None of his work ever impressed me. I'm not big on rap but to my knowledge he's a sell out and not worth any time.

Some of those "rock" songs are just ... I am speechless. Who can take that seriously? What did he actually contribute to those "songs" They just slapped his face on the record... he couldn't play a proper guitar chord if his life depended on it.
