Instead of having people waste money on me for crap I don't need/want/care about/appreciate I just ask them to donate money to the Humane Society in my name.

If people are so willing to give we might as well not be selfish and try to put their kindness to good use.

The point is, I find it stupid to get gifts because of a holiday. If people are going to get me gifts they're going to waste their money because I won't care so why not use the money to keep some puppies and kittens from being put to sleep?

If I didn't work 50-60 hours a week I might have time to volunteer but right now that won't happen.
