I want one of these so bad. I just want to know where I can buy one or order it. Does anyone know either possibility? I tried searching for it but all I get is reviews and the Heineken site. I live in Ontario California. Yeah not Canada guys/girls. California.

Hehe I've seen some of those barrels. Though I live in East LA. Doubt you'll want to come all the way over here just for some Heineken.

liquor stores usually have them, especially the larger ones. I've seen a few other beers packaged in those 5 liter mini-kegs. I bought a mini-keg of Marzen Oktoberfest last year.

those little 5-liter kegs are intended to be disposable, but if you are careful with them you can reuse them. people who brew beer sometimes do. the mail order beer supply stores sell replacement bungs, as well as c02 pressurinzing tap systems.

They sell those in just about every Super Market near me. No liquor stores, though, since New York has a ridiculous law that says liquor stores can't sell beer.

in the us a keg is a half-barrel, or 15.5 US gallons. a keg imported from europe will be 50 liters (about 13.2 US gallons). so a 5 liter mini-keg like this is a tenth of a european keg, roughly 1/12th of a us keg.

Eh, I musta been thinking about a different brand. I know I bought eighth kegs somewhere. They were tall and skinny.

i haven't heard of an eigth keg. maybe you are thinking of a sixth barrel?

a pony keg (quarter barrel) is 7.75 gallons and is usually squat but there are some tall skinny ones. a sixth barrel is 5.23 gallons and it is tall and skinny. a corny (cornelius) keg is 5 gallons and it is what soft drink syrups are packed in (although plastic lined cardboard boxes are rapidly replacing them).

Those mini-kegs seems like a good idea, but they leak horribly. Although the ones I've had didn't have the tap on the top like that but on the side. On the plus side, you can also get mini-kegs of Grolsch, another Dutch beer that is far superior to the marketing gimmick (although highly succesful) that is Heineken.

totally not worth it, 20 dollars?! for what 5 liters? which is about 1.3 gals? ok do the math, 64 ounces in a gal, so we are talking about 72 ounces? now how many 12ounce bottles will equal that? get some nauty ice instead lol
