When I finally manage to pull myself away from a screen for 5 minutes, I usually spend that time reading. Just recently I've finished "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." I'm in the middle of "How To Read Literature Like a Professor," and have in my queue 'Into the Wild,' by Jon Krakauer, and 'The Stranger,' by Albert Camus. These books will probably only last me for the next week or so, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good material? I'm into about every genre, and open to all suggestions. -Ari-freakin-el

I've recently picked up Oryx and Crake after a friend told me about it. Looking forward to starting it soon.

I LOVE Scott Westerfield. The Uglies series inspired the very first book I wrote. -Ari-freakin-el

"pride and prejudice and zombies?" sounds like an interesting book. I'm currently reading the complete works of sherlock holmes.

If you're into serious literature then Heart of Darkness is a must read. It's a tough read for a lot of people though so be warned.

I'd also recommend Life of Pi, Alas, Babylon, and 1984. If you're into zombies then you'll also like I am Legend by Richard Matheson which is basically about zombie vampires (if you saw the movie and didn't like it, don't worry, the book and the movie have very little in common).

It's very interesting. It stays fairly true to Jane Austen's original work, but adds in a lot of zombie fight scenes, transforms the Miss Bennets into zombie decapitating heroines, and adds in one of my favorite scenes of all time, in which Elizabeth Bennett chews in the still-beating heart of a ninja. -Ari-freakin-el

I never realized until now that I never read the book I am Legend.
