Live forever or die right now?

Ok this was inspired by that death thread and a random comment I came across on the interwebz.

Basically you are faced with a decision with only two possible outcomes; there is no getting out of it what so ever. You can choose either to die right this instant or to live for all eternity, please note that living for all eternity includes even after the universe has ended, basically your conscious will continue in nothingness.

You cannot kill yourself if you choose to live forever, you also cannot be maimed or whatever (i.e if you get decapitated you wont be living as a head) and you do not age (unless your kid then you'll age to like 21 or something)

What do you choose?

You don't know that what so ever.. Hell a person can't even say that for sure in our regular life time! sSubZerOo

Universe destroyed? So I'd be all by myself in a a large, endless void of nothingness? Hmmmm...I'd have my privacy, I guess that's always a plus. :|

Grandparents? How bout your closest friends? Your Parents? Your possible loves? That is something every one has trouble dealing in life.. Now it will be a common occurence through out your existence.. Thats inless you take a hermit like approach and sequester your self.. The average person probably after a time would not get close to any one due to that fact.sSubZerOo

Doesn't really matter. If I die now, I go to heaven. If I live forever, I'll live up into the apocalypse, then God will destroy the earth and make a new earth that will never die and it'll end up being the same thing...Silenthps

I'd live forever. And when everything been done and dusted, i'll go insane in the void of nothingness. I'll be mad as a hatter, but I wouldn't suffer. I'll have a googleplex worth of memories; the rise and fall of humanity, to reflect on. Anyway, how could you get bored of life?redwolf22

Anyone who chooses live forever would eventually completely lose his mind and go insane... so die now is actually the smart call...

I mean, lets say someone throws you to the bottom of the ocean in chains and you cant die, you'd spent eternity without being able to move or do anything, thats a risk i would never take.

Die right now, thats assuming there is an afterlife or reincarnation

if there is no afterlife, well...idunno. Living even beyond the end of the universe seems a little drastic, though I suppose you could train yourself to hibernate, not to mention the likelihood that eventually, after billions of years, another universe would happen.

Hmmmm if the universe was cyclic in nature (i.e. it kept recreating itself out of nothingness....or God does, whatever, so long as it gets recreated) then I would choose to live forever.
