In one of the biggest flubs this guy will ever make on-air, he says "President Obama is dead" when he means Osama Bin Laden is dead. Good career move.

I noticed yesterday on CNN everyone, including Blitzer, was referring to the past WTC attacks as taking place "September 11, 2011..."[QUOTE="BranKetra"]meh -- 'Osama', 'Obama'... an honest mistake... Unless Osama was a president too, that was a pretty embarrassing mistake. :PWhat the hell was he on?

[QUOTE="BranKetra"]meh -- 'Osama', 'Obama'... an honest mistake... I too am sure it was an honest mistake. That doesn't make it any less hilarious of course. Mainly because he said President Obama. What the hell was he on?

meh -- 'Osama', 'Obama'... an honest mistake...Osama/Obama is an honest mistake. He even said president though. :P Exactly. "President Obama says President Obama's dead." Whatever, though. That lady gave him the look.[QUOTE="67gt500"][QUOTE="BranKetra"]

Don't they read off a teleprompter? Obama from Osama is an understandable slip of the tongue but adding in the whole word President?
To be honest, it could have been Morgan Freeman who said it. It still would have been funny :PI wonder how many people actually will click the link and realize that wasn't fox news...it was Fox 5 local news in LA.

I don't think they read directly off it. Probably saw Osama, thought Obama and added president.[QUOTE="xTheExploited"]

Proving once and for all that being a news anchor is the easiest job ever? :P
I mean clearly his brain was not even remotely engaged with what he was saying.
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]To be honest, it could have been Morgan Freeman who said it. It still would have been funny :PI agree. I just find OT's usual Fox News bashing ironic when said posters can't even click the link or distinguish between Fox News and Local news networks.I wonder how many people actually will click the link and realize that wasn't fox news...it was Fox 5 local news in LA.

Well, at least this isnt quite as embarrassing for Fox news as when they featured Brian Fischer on one of their talk shows recently.
[QUOTE="BranKetra"]meh -- 'Osama', 'Obama'... an honest mistake... Yea...it is but he also included "President" lolWhat the hell was he on?

Kinda funny but really coming right after Obama's speech I think his mind was thinking "President Obama announcing Osama Bin Laden is Dead" and for some reason it just shortened out to "President Obama is dead" which is still damn funny and I kind of feel sorry for the guy but hey, that's what local news is all about...learning the ropes.
It's not even Fox News, but I guess two can play this game.
Norah O'Donnell of MSNBC tweets "Obama shot and killed"
Seriously, both were honest mistakes.
I love how even a mod posted in this thread and is allowing it to remain open and blatantly incorrect.
