I got my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active with a 128gb micro SD card that cost $60 on top of the 16gb that already comes with the phone. With the iPhone 6, you have to shell out $200 for 128gb of total storage. This is even worse than the Vita memory cards because everyone knows that storage is way cheaper than what they're charging. It's just one of those flaws about the iPhone that people like to conveniently brush under the rug.

People aren't paying for a superior product, they are paying for a name and convenience. It's easier for some people to deal with Apple which is why they would choose them over Android. They can pay almost a grand for 128GB of storage on their iPhone 6 Plus and I'll pay $30 for an SDHC 64GB card for my Note 3 while having another TB of data on reserve with Onedrive. Not to mention I like having the ability to download and upload what I want over cellular versus iPhone not giving you the option to download certain things away from wifi.

Go to the Apple website and build an iMac. You'll laugh so hard you might piss yourself.

people buying iPhones already have money to burn, if frugality ever entered the equation then the memory card wouldn't even be an issue

Microsoft does the same with their console storage, I've run out of space on my 360 and without buying the new xbox or constantly paying for 32gb flash drives I've got nowhere to move. it's why I got a PS4 first as I can put in any 2.5 inch SATA drive in it, and I may need to as with six games installed plus data I'm pretty close to filling half of the 500gb hardrive. so I'm looking for a 1Tb for my PS4 and transferring the 500gb to my 60gb PS3 as that is out of space and I've got PSN+ games to download for it.

Xbone will be a Christmas purchase and the Wii U is a purchase for October, so by the end of the year I should have all the consoles for this gen just like I did the previous gen.

@karloss01: It's not really the same situation because you still have the option buy the smallest Xbox and add a bigger hard drive or attach an external hard drive. With iPhones and iPads there is no way to add extra storage unless you count cloud storage that is useless without an active Internet connection.

@MakeMeaSammitch: What's inferior about the iPhone? It runs smoother, crashes less, has more and better apps and the list goes on. The iPhone is just as functional as android, it's downside is the home screens are less customizable.

Take your bloated inefficient software on more powerful hardware and do a lot less with it. I'll take my apple products which do more than the average person needs and they do it MUCH better than windows or android does.

Thanks custom roms!

And what the "average person" needs exactly? Check facebook, get their emails, take some instagram pictures and send some snapchats? How do you that "much better" ?

Alienware is understandable though, they are a premium hardware putter-together company.

@MonsieurX: Custom ROMS? LOL. So you failed to actually address any one of my arguments and just said custom ROMS. All that says is that I was right and android is crap for the average user.

I've been through that crap already. Custom ROMS, downloading and modifying multiple apps just to get one to sort of function at an acceptable level. I used to be an android fanboy. Used one Apple device in an apple set up home and saw how much better it all worked for general usage purposes. Switched over immediately.

I do agree that android custom ROMS do a lot to help android. However, following a 100 step guide to hack and load a rom on my device where 50 of the steps pose a serious threat of bricking my device only to discover that the rom is not nearly as good as everyone said it was was a giant pain in the ass. But if you want the latest version of android you are forced to install custom roms. Why? Because carriers take 2-5 months to release their version of the update, if they ever release it at all. 99% of the time your month old phone has been long forgotten and they don't give a shit about you. So now you're forced to follow a tedious guide, modifying ROMS to actually work on your device, hoping and praying that once it's all said and done your wifi, phone, Bluetooth and all the other stuff is functioning properly.

Now for the actual quality of the apps. Android has got nothing on Apple. Islets honestly not even close. I still have an android tablet. It always looks like shit. Everything is low resolution and barely functioning. It takes my beautiful display and ruins it with low res text and textures, that is if the apps don't crash before I get to do what I want. The interfaces are all different from each other, there's no consistency. Some are wins, most suck. There's just no effort put in.

As for browsing Facebook. Apple does it better. Video and basically all other media. Apple does it better. AirPlay mirroring is kick ass. Just basic all around ease of use. Apple does it better. Android is just more customizable if you're willing to put in the time and effort.

@prawephet: Used custom roms on my S2 and now G2 and never had a single problem with them, everything is functional and was done quickly.

As for apps, just stop using crappy ones. The ones I use all look great on my phone and/or tablet.

Miracast works wonderfully as well.

I agree with this.

Condescend to me all you wish Android users, perhaps one day you'll get off your high horses and stop thinking you're someone superior and in the know and Apple users are all dense, ignorant, sheep. I had an Android before my previous phone. I can see the appeal, but I much prefer Apple's polish, ecosystem, OS, and overall consistency. Android is ultimately an amalgamation from many different sources, and while that may be a benefit in many areas, it's also a drawback.

I don't buy Apple for specs (which only ever seems to be the argument brought up against Apple), nor the name. I buy them because I know exactly what I'm getting before I buy it. I'll pay extra for that assurance. The iPhone is a well made product through and through. It has superb build quality, is fast and does what I need. I don't need my phone to look like some prop from Star Trek or care to customize it to Hell and back. Who gives a ****, it's just a phone.

I don't want to have to deal with all the shit to make my phone work. I do that with my PC. I want a phone that's made by one company that concerns itself with that, I'm just along for the ride. Maybe it's hard for Android users to understand that some prefer this, but IDGAF enough to put so much effort into my mobile device or even care so much about what it can do. This does not (sorry to say for you) ,make you superior, so come off it. It's simply a matter of preference.

I get sick and tired of this immature little "nyah nyah nyah....an Apple user!!" attitude. Grow up guys. Are you in grade school?
