@MonsieurX: Custom ROMS? LOL. So you failed to actually address any one of my arguments and just said custom ROMS. All that says is that I was right and android is crap for the average user.
I've been through that crap already. Custom ROMS, downloading and modifying multiple apps just to get one to sort of function at an acceptable level. I used to be an android fanboy. Used one Apple device in an apple set up home and saw how much better it all worked for general usage purposes. Switched over immediately.
I do agree that android custom ROMS do a lot to help android. However, following a 100 step guide to hack and load a rom on my device where 50 of the steps pose a serious threat of bricking my device only to discover that the rom is not nearly as good as everyone said it was was a giant pain in the ass. But if you want the latest version of android you are forced to install custom roms. Why? Because carriers take 2-5 months to release their version of the update, if they ever release it at all. 99% of the time your month old phone has been long forgotten and they don't give a shit about you. So now you're forced to follow a tedious guide, modifying ROMS to actually work on your device, hoping and praying that once it's all said and done your wifi, phone, Bluetooth and all the other stuff is functioning properly.
Now for the actual quality of the apps. Android has got nothing on Apple. Islets honestly not even close. I still have an android tablet. It always looks like shit. Everything is low resolution and barely functioning. It takes my beautiful display and ruins it with low res text and textures, that is if the apps don't crash before I get to do what I want. The interfaces are all different from each other, there's no consistency. Some are wins, most suck. There's just no effort put in.
As for browsing Facebook. Apple does it better. Video and basically all other media. Apple does it better. AirPlay mirroring is kick ass. Just basic all around ease of use. Apple does it better. Android is just more customizable if you're willing to put in the time and effort.
I agree with this.
Condescend to me all you wish Android users, perhaps one day you'll get off your high horses and stop thinking you're someone superior and in the know and Apple users are all dense, ignorant, sheep. I had an Android before my previous phone. I can see the appeal, but I much prefer Apple's polish, ecosystem, OS, and overall consistency. Android is ultimately an amalgamation from many different sources, and while that may be a benefit in many areas, it's also a drawback.
I don't buy Apple for specs (which only ever seems to be the argument brought up against Apple), nor the name. I buy them because I know exactly what I'm getting before I buy it. I'll pay extra for that assurance. The iPhone is a well made product through and through. It has superb build quality, is fast and does what I need. I don't need my phone to look like some prop from Star Trek or care to customize it to Hell and back. Who gives a ****, it's just a phone.
I don't want to have to deal with all the shit to make my phone work. I do that with my PC. I want a phone that's made by one company that concerns itself with that, I'm just along for the ride. Maybe it's hard for Android users to understand that some prefer this, but IDGAF enough to put so much effort into my mobile device or even care so much about what it can do. This does not (sorry to say for you) ,make you superior, so come off it. It's simply a matter of preference.
I get sick and tired of this immature little "nyah nyah nyah....an Apple user!!" attitude. Grow up guys. Are you in grade school?
