Anyone here from London think the place is horrible ?

Sure, there's some good shops, good plays, some nice architecture but then again ... such an overcrowded, overpriced, filthy, rat infested, dangerous hellhole.

It's spread out all over the place that it takes hours to get anywhere interesting or get to work, the tube is so expensive you'd think you're taking some bloody rollercoaster at Disneyland...I expect popcorn and a pepsi included in the ticket...but only to break down and be late every single day of the week. The whole public transportation is crap and overpriced, full of smelly, ugly and miserable people.

Just look at the misery on londoner's faces if you walk around...ignore the happy tourists who are there for the weekend and you'll find miserable, rude, stressed out, obnoxious true inhabitants of London.

You know the whole multicultural thing has gone wrong when half the people here don't speak english.

Sweeney Todd described it perfectly in the song at the beginning of the movie...you know...there's a hole in the world like a great black pit, and the vermin of the world inhabit it, and it's full of people who are filled with s***, and it goes by the name of London ...

This place needs to burn down ...

Lol, NO. It is overcrowded and expensive though that much is true, the Tube prices is daylight robbery.

But aside from that, very nice and interesting city

Lahndan Tahn!

It's a horrible city compared to others like Edinburgh and Liverpool. I don't really enjoy visiting it to be honest, but sometimes it has to be done, and I usually have to plan it like an Arctic expedition. It is ridiculously expensive.

However, despite the varied people there, I've always found them to be very nice.

Edit: I usually stay at my friend's flat in Brixton btw.

Well, a lot of the words and phrases you used to describe London can perfectly describe New York City.

Never been there but I'm sure it's the same thing. I want to visit NY and I'm sure as a tourist it's great for a few days but I wouldn't want to live there.

I'll be moving somewhere else in a few months anyway...I gave London a shot, saw what the big deal was...there wasn't one...but now it's time to find somewhere actually nice to live for a change.

I used to think that about London as well. But then I went away for a couple of months and wanted to come back to the "hellhole" of a city.

See the problem with your arguement is that you'd probably want to live somewhere else, and they'd have the same opinion vice versa. London is interesting, yet very frustrating, and if you don't know the culture, its also dangerous.

I used to go there a lot, but my railcard is no longer any good, and its extortionate to go there now! Going there is like having a minor panic attack.Camden town was the main reason I used to go, but it seems to have gone downhill over the years.

I quite like it here, even if I do live in one of the more rundown parts. Everything could be better of course, traffic is horrible at times, everything's expensive and TFL staff have a tendency to be miserable. But I really enjoy being so close to many famous and intersting places, and there's so much around to see and do (though I usually don't have the time). That being said I came here from a boring town in the south wales valleys where there is f*** all to do so I suppose anything's an improvement. The only thing I miss is the sight of greenery, not much of that in london. That and things back home being somewhat more affordable.

lol, you just described every major city in the world.

a citys whole purpose is to leach resources from the land for thousands of miles in each direction concentrate them and burn through them as fast as possible.

giant cities are like a cancer.

Sounds a lot like any big city. I've never lived anywhere nearly as large as London, and I've only visited London itself once many years ago, but any time a bunch of people get together, they find a way to make each other miserable.
