That's what I actually like about Tool most. Aside from being a totally unique sound, they do like a lot of great bands do, they tell stories, make some long songs. I miss that with most newer bands.

I know what you mean. Like with Rosetta Stoned, although it isn't very subtle like many of their other songs.
"I Don't Keep With Liars Anymore" by The Bled at 37:46, followed by "The Sixth Extinction Crept Up Slowly, Like Sunlight Through the Shutters, As We Looked Back in Regret" by Red Sparowes at 19:32
I used to have a song from Röyksopp that was over an hour long.
~-~I have to ask, have you listen to those strait through? I mean non stop. If you were on GS while listening to it then that counts. No pausing or leaving it just listening.~-~on DVD: Wagners Die Walkure (3 and 1/2 hours)
on my iPod: Mozart's Don Giovanni (3 Hrs)

Yeah their songs are pretty deep
Since all the standard long songs have been listed (Dream Theater, Tool, etc...), I'll try some others.
Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness (60 minutes)
Meshuggah - Catch 33 (Even though it's an album, it plays as one song)
Spock's Beard - Everything off of "The Light"
I could go for days though, as many the majority of prog bands have long songs. Bands like Gentle Giant, The Flower Kings, Yes, Genesis (Gabriel era), Devin Townsend, Opeth, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention...I'd better stop before I list every band I love.
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (the one from the live cd) - Dream Theater (46 minutes)
Disposition/Reflection/Triad - Tool (23 minutes altogether)
Octavarium - Dream Theater (26 minutes)

I don't listen to Wagner much, cause I find him boring.
and I usually stop after a while and start again later.

Echoes is actually somewhere along 23 minutes long, which is my longest song I believe. That and Octavarium.
