Long v. Medium v. Short Hair (for men)

Hey OT quick question, this is for the girls out there and I guess guys can answer also but is long hair on guys a good look? Can some guys pull it off, while others cant?

Im 21 and I've had short hair all my life and in the past year or so Ive been trying to grow out my hair, I want it like shoulder-length, and right now I got my sides and top to hit just past ear level. My hair is kinda wavy like Johnny Depps hair, not straight at all so its hard to manage. I guess along with my first question are there any other guys struggling to grow long hair along with some criticisms from friends and family about how different you look?

Some guys look good with long hair, some don't.

:P Yesterday (i think it was yesterday o.O)I saw an article on yahoo about guys that look horrible with long hair lol. Well ya, some guys look great with long hair, while others looks horrid. My boyfriend would look horible with long hair o.o but I have plenty of guy friends who have long hair and look good. :) It really depends. When it comes to criticism and stuff about guys with long hair I think that nobody really cares (at least where I live) since many guys grow it out. :D

I had a ton of jokes at my expense from family and friends when I grew my hair out years. Just ignore them and do what you'd like. Also, medium length is generally best length, but it varies from person to person.

I look quite good with long hair, then again I do resemble my mother more than my dad.

It depends on the individual, but most men look better with short hair.

Depends on the guy, and what kind of hair they have. I think the main thing is not to let it look dirty.

Personally, I'm a fan of short hair. On the other hand, my friend will fall for pretty much anyone with medium length hair. I think long long hair only works for bikers :P

For me personally I can only have short/medium length hair. Even the medium length I can't really stand. My hair just gets dirty way too easily(oily skin) and its very frizzy making long hair look terrible.

On some guys, long hair works but in general I'm more of a fan of short hair for all guys. Just looks more professional in my opinion.

Long hair looks great on some men and bad on others .It really depends on how the hair compliments the shapeof your face. Not to be arrogant, but long hair suits me a lot. Some just naturally look good with it.

Depends on the guy, really. Personally, I love short to medium hair, mostly because I've never seen a sexy guy with long hair (by long I mean metal head-hair). Johnny Depp may rock his hairdo, because he's Johnny Depp, but it might look bad on you or another guy. Pics of you, then I can rate.Deihjan

I prefer short hair, look best if I had a moustache/beard combo with it (gotta start shaving). Though I also want a pony tail, never grew my hair long enough for that.

the better you look, the longer the hair you'll be able to pull off

medium to long length only really compliments the very cute to very hot, if you're neither nor anything inbetween well then it doesn't really matter, since you'll be perceived as average or below regardless of what your hair brings to the table

Short and medium hair looks fine on most guys.

Really long can look bad if they don't take care of their hair or keep it clean.

It depends on what you look like what length would suit you best.

But 99.99% of the time I think guys with shoulder length hair look dirty and unkempt so there's a next to nil chance that I'd find somebody with that length of hair attractive. If you're not legolas, lestat or louis, you probably are going to have some half-mullety thing going on and it's just going to look dumb.

I think I look pretty cool with short hair. Or a short mohawk or short hair with a short beard, my friends generally say it looks cool and I think girls like it. I just recently snagged myself a hot prom date. :D

I keep my hair long always. Its curly though, so when I get it trimmed its always to thin out the layers so it doesnt bulk up to an afro. I have no friz, its more like greekhobbit hair. I take forever on it and people have asked me if they can have it. haha.

OT has seen me with long hair and medium hair and I've recieved compliments on both. =P (Though rawsvon seemed to like me hair when it was longer >.>)
