I have made it 52 hours without drugs, alone in my dorm watching dragonball Z and playing Halo with my friends online. After my friends fell asleep i talked myself crazy and kept thinking how i was hearing things when wood would creak and how i felt like i was gonna die, i was really afraid, and tired, i eventually passed out leaning agianst my desk looking through a magazine... Whats your story?

Credits for topic go to a site Gamespot wont let me mention but it comes from /b.

What happened as in did anything strange happen during your many hours awake. Like you know things that dont normally happen, that you think are happening. Or really anything i guess.

A little over 3 days (~80 hours). I felt really tired and started experiencing some visual hallucinations. That's about it.

I stayed up 68 hours straight to do work. After I finished everything, I literally collapsed in bed and slept for about 22 hours. Never again.

Nah, nothing all too special. Only remarkable activity was the crying I guess.

Mines not very long.... Only 23 hours straight. But, all that time was spent at work providing continuous weather info for firefighters battling a huge brush fire in CA (1999).

The next longest would be in the Persian Gulf (Middle East). I can't even count the number of days when I slept 2-3 hours per day.

I went nearly a week straight with no sleep. The lack of sleep hospitalized me as I was beginning to enter the preliminary stages of dementia. Slept a good 26 hours in the hospital after that.

So yeah, pretty safe to say I have insomnia. I have to take medication for it, otherwise I'm awake for days on end.

Ambien? That helped me a lot.

That, Lunesta, and now another different pill I started on recently: Elavil. Supposedly they also give it to people with mood swings and depression. Best pill I've taken for my insomnia so far.

5 days because of my illness. I slept for 12 hours and stayed up another 5 days. I have schizoprenia and I couldn't sleep when I was sick. The cycle went on for about a month. When I went to the hospital they gave me an injection of Haldol. I then slept 23 hours a day for a month straight. The only time I got up was to go to the bathroom and eat twice a day.

I take medication now that helps me sleep. If I don't take it I will stay up for days.

The longest I've ever stayed up was roughly 24 hours. I was tired, of course, and patterns would apprear to be moving (like floor tiles).

I'm all ready unstable, while maintaining a reasonable sleeping pattern. I wouldn't want to find out what happened if I deviated from this. I don't think you would either, because I all ready have an idea of what might happen, and the things I think are best left unsaid.

About three days. Drank a lot of coffee. I was pretty much solid ADD, said really stupid **** according to my recollection, my mind functioned very oddly, and despite the inability to concentrate, I had next to no ability to multitask even trivial tasks. Odd feeling. Difficult to describe in words...

four days, it was out of survival though as i was trapped on a mountain.

even worse i didnt eat or drink anything for the four days either, so that made it a bit worse. not to mention the fact that we were walking on an ice covered mountain in the middle of a snow blizzard.

you cant eat snow to survive either, it brings your body temp waaay down and you start to freeze.

so you can survive with no food or water for 4 days and be ok, but its not that much fun!

Three straight days, in order to finish a term paper that I should have started months earlier. After treking across campus to hand it in to the professor, I stumbled back to my dorm and quite literally passed out on my way to the bed.

I think the world record for time without sleep is 11 days without stimulants, so I guess all of this is possible. My longest is about 30+ hours.

About 24 hours. I didn't sleep, eat, go to the washroom. Yeah, it was pretty messed. What happened was these Russian Terrorists had come into possession of a nuclear device, so I was brought back into action by CTU. With the help of my friend Chloe O'Brian, we were able to stop them. But yeah.. It seems to happen a lot.

longest time i went without sleeping??? 3 days. the first day i was all mad and stuff. second day was like a LSD trip and the 3 day i mostly stayed in my room watching tv and doing stuff on the computer. why? I wanted to sleep for a very long time and felt so refreshed when i woke up.
