23 whole hours. Could barely stay awake in class that day and I freaked out alot.

Couple of days one time the summer between graduating HS and going to college... I felt like I was never going to get to play video games again, so I binge gamed... Started playing at like 2pm (when I woke up that day) on Tuesday and had a blast with some buddies on xbox live playing a lot of different games for a long ass time... By Friday morning at like 5am, after around 63 hours of gaming interdispersed with bathroom breaks, one shower, and a few meals... I fell asleep at my desk with my controller still in my hand and my headset still on... Woke up 7 hours later with an indentation of my keys on my face.
First and last time that ever happened.
Never again.
44 hours. 38 of those were at work and on the clock. We were transitioning an entire building from a token ring network to a switched ethernet network. We had the weekend to get it done, and we did.

Was a nice payday. The thing about being a contractor is that you never know when you are going to get paid until you land a contract, but after you have a number of contracts behind you, you really gain the advantage on haggling over price. You don't have to be the cheapest bidder if you've got some good quality work behind you.

A guy in my uni class did this, we had from January to April to do a pretty hefty task and he didn't even start until there was a week to go. Think he managed it as well.Nearly 72 hours before I gave in and went to sleep. Procrastinating on a report til the final 3 days then stayed awake trying to complete it those final 3 days. No fun at all. I was using sheer willpower to stay awake that long...

[QUOTE="tocool340"]A guy in my uni class did this, we had from January to April to do a pretty hefty task and he didn't even start until there was a week to go. Think he managed it as well. I had two weeks though. It was a 10 pg report that needed a hefty amount of research and cited sources to complete it. It would have been a piece of cake if I didn't have to go to libraries to get a bulk of my sources. If my teacher didn't say that, I would have use the convenient internet to get all more sources.... I forget what the report was about though. I think it was about perhaps a subject on presidents or what career I wanted to pursue after H.S....Nearly 72 hours before I gave in and went to sleep. Procrastinating on a report til the final 3 days then stayed awake trying to complete it those final 3 days. No fun at all. I was using sheer willpower to stay awake that long...

Some 30-odd hours. A night that started with bar hopping, turned into a horribly failed morning fishing trip, and ended in an all day adventure featuring the exhausting hot sun and people swarms at six flags great america. I've never crawled into my bed....prior to that night.
I have schizophrenia and I can't sleep without medication. For some reason my mind can't shut down on it's own. I've gone a week or more without sleep. I actually lost count of how many days I was awake. It's pretty horrible because I get extreemly tired but I just can't sleep.

I have trouble getting my mind to shut up as well. I can lay in bed, tired as hell, for HOURS without opening my eyes and still can't go to sleep.
That's why I self-medicate about an hour before bed.

I stayed awake for around 3 or 4 days playing Dragon Quest 8 when it came out. That was last time I went on a gaming binge like that...never again.
When I was still in college, my pschology class conducted sleep experiments, and I was the guinea pig of my group. I was forced to stay awake anywhere from 3-4 days about four times that year.
A plus was I was exempt from work in my other classes (I still had to show up, though), but by the end of the study, I was half-crazy.
