Looking for a new metal band.

I'm looking for a new Metal band to get into. I generally like all types of metal. I'm not big into Nu Metal but have been surprised before. I hate black metal (so stray away) I'm fine with melodic death metal (Opeth, Soilwork). The other type of metal I really don't care for is Power metal. It's OK but not my type. Here's a list of bands I already like so if you want to give me some suggestions on bands that sound like this.

I've heard things about them. Are they really that good?

Definitely listen to some Isis. You might not like them but they're such a fantastic band they at least deserve a try :P.

Others would be:

Agalloch (sounds a bit like Orchid/Morningrise era Opeth, just less aggressive)

Seconded, Isis is an amazing band, and they do a hell of a live show,
people don't like them because, well, they essentially have no lyrics, but, come on now, they are an amazing band with a unique sound.

I tried giving both of them a listen to but I don't know why but I didn't care for either band.

try gojira. i like their album from mars to sirius best, but terra incognita is really good too.

celtic frost is another good one. morbid tales and to mega therion are their best albums but monotheist is easier to get into.

I'm really shocked that no one has mentioned Children of Bodom! They have risen to become my favorite band actually so I highly suggest checking them out. Also, I'm really getting into Bring Me The Horizon so check them out too. I guess in list form:

COB's a good gateway Metal band, i listened to them allot when i was first getting into metal...not so much now, but they're still good. imo they've gone down hill, AYDY was horrible, and Blooddrunk (from what i've heard) is only half as good as some of their older stuff.

I got there first or second album I can't remember but I've heard some of there newer stuff and it isn't half bad. I wouldn't mind checking them out a little bit. I looked at Gojira and I actually really enjoyed what I heard I might look into them. Anyone else have more seggestions?
