During the election discussion tonight, many things that Mccain did upset me. How does he not comment on education at all?

There are alot of people who are unsure of who to vote for at the moment and Mccain tonight made a fool of himself imo.

He never once talked about schools/education, his stance on health care is ridicolous and my main problem was how he was takin shots at Obama and calling him names at times. Sure you have to expect them both to dissagree and to a certain point dislike each other, but i know personally, alot of friends who where on the ropes before tonights debate and are now are leaning towards Obama. Also Mccain was trying to twist Obamas words about some of the things he was saying.

As someone who didnt really prefer either before this debate, i have to say Obama has impressed me the most so far. Im not American but i have alot of friends and family in the USA, and this is definatly a very important election.

I think Mccain has the experience but Obama actually speaks to the people it seems and also seems more interested in fixing up America as far as education and mainly health issues go.

Anyways just my two cents from a Canadian who has lived in the states numerous times and some of my family members where born there, along with having alot of friends and people i have worked on business with in the past in the USA.

I respect both the two candidates to a certain extent but in the end Obama just seems more truthful and honestly wants to help things.

BTW I am a white Canadian/Ukranian, so people cant scream "RACISM!" as i myself am white. :P

I agree. McCain is under a lot of pressure and his campaign has gone nothing but downhill since he chose Palin.

Obama is the one that got buried at the debate. Obama want's the Government to control Healthcare(It's pretty stupid). Obama never commented on war veterans, and retired military, but McCain took them into great consideration. I don't know why Obama didn't talk about the retired war veterans(retired military). They deserve the most.

I agree, and you know another thing that McCain did NOT say once in both of the debates? 'Middle Class' that's what, he does not care about them to the point that he does not even acknowledge them. I myself am middle class and I find it just offensive that he never has mentioned us not once in 2 90+ min debates. Barack Obama not only cares about the middle class, but bases his entire campaign on us. If you are middle class like I am you would be a fool to not to vote for Obama, instead of a man that can't even bring himself to talk about you.

We should all be equally important. Also, give proof that Obama wants government to control healthcare, because I don't believe he said that. or at the very least you are twisting words.

Watch the debate very closely;)

EDIT: Military do deserve more than standard citizens. They put their bodies on the line(Getting shot, and legs blown off)for the country, while we sit on our computers posting on the internet. None of us should be proud of ourselves.

**** 'em.

They joined the military knowing its consequences and rewards. They are supposed to be treated better than anyone else who reaped what they sowed? Why? Because we sent them overseas on a pointless war to murder people?

And you are supporting someone who will continue this needless war to produce more veterans for what? To drain our coffers in an expensive war? Sounds like a grade A plan to me.

4 that are in service/had served. An uncle, and 3 close friends of mine. My uncle has been in the Navy for about 12 years and still is. One in the Army Reserve currently on a tour in Afghanistan. 1 currently in Iraq in the Army. 1 kicked out of the Navy for being overweight.

My stance does not change. Each one of them went into the military knowing the consequences. I would feel sorry for losing them as friends/family but no sadness for their results. If any of my friends decided to do something like commiting a crime or being a firefighter, they would have done so knowing the risks and the rewards. I have no reason to feel pity or pride for them if they knew what they were getting into when suffering the risks or gaining the rewards.

I got to say that your the one who dosent respect military veterans here.

Some go for the chance to get into college and have a better life. Others go just because they cant afford to do anything else. Alot go because they are proud of the ones they leave at home. The guy who came to pick them up many years ago when they broke down on the road, the people who came together when that person lost someone dear to them, and more.

To stand there and say that people shouldnt be proud of themselves, is to also say that those servicemen shouldnt be proud for us either. Thus you downplay why they fight.

Someone on here might have a father or mother overseas fighting or they might have already perished in the conflict. You need to close your mouth and broaden your empathy and understanding rather then just say things that is supposed to tower over the perception of others.

So how much time have you spent down at the Vet hall for the homeless vets from 'nam during the holidays when they have no one else and make sure they have some food and company?

It amazes me that people want Obama in office because he's a smooth talker and promises to fix things that are beyond repair. People are willing to overlook the fact that he wants to tax us all to death in order to get someone they feel can "speak on their level." I'd take another 4 years of Bush before I'd put Nobama in there.

I don't think either candidate is worthwhile. And neither...this includes Obama...answered any question directly. They both took shots at each other. Totally a waste of time to even watch the debate.
