whats everybodys opinion on season 4? Do you think they will get rescued by the "Freight" or do you think those are another group of 'others'

And the ending to season 3 left alot of questions. Do you think Jack and Kate are going to go back to the island in that future flashback? thoughts please. Lost is a really great TV show.

Personally I think that the freighter will bring bigger problems. TPTB have said that there is something more terrifying than the monster and the others which we have yet to see. Though it could be Jacob, it's likely to be the people on the freighter.

I don't think that they will go back to the island. Infact I think the show will end when the flashfowards reach the real island time. If they moved backward while the show continued to move foward, then they could meet at a penultimate point, where we finally understand why Jack was going to kill himself, who was in the coffin, and no doubt many other questions that will be raised via flashfowards as we head into season 4. I can't freakin wait!

you saw jacks flash-forward thing. it shows him talking with kate AFTER they got off the island. they could get off the island in season 5, and then kate and jack find a way back with sawyer (kates husband probally) juliette (maybe jacks wife) and maybe a few other of the characters like sayid and them. and rousseau and alex will probally be the main characters with jack and kate. and of course the biggest is Locke. He will never leave the island.

I never said they didn't get off the island it was obvious from day 1 that they would. I said the ship isn't the thing thats going to save them.

what do you think will save them? in desmonds vision, it showed claire getting off the island by helicopter. do you think that was just a lie to make charlie push that button so desmond can see penny? I read somewhere, that the monster gets shut off, and then another group of "others" are free to roam the island. As rousseau said, the "monster" is a security system. But, one of the producers or writers or SOMEBODY that works on lost, said that the black smoke thing is just a PART of the "monster" like his arm.

Yes i completely agree, i would be amazed if seasons 4-6 didn't focus exclusively on flash-forwards now. It just makes sense to do so and as you say they could wrap thing's up nicely if done right.

As for the freighter i believe they will become the new "bad guys" and perhaps Jack and Ben will team up in order to counter this new "evil" but who knows.

i think juliette was the one in the coffin, cos no one really liked her anyway, which is why they would be reluctant to go to her funeral

well i think the security system or the monster was a way to stop the evil other people on the freighter from roaming the island. and since they are evil, the "monster" can tell and it kills them. like when it left Mr.ecko alone becausehe wasn't scared and didnt have any evil in him. that would be my guess. It does sound like a robot though. It even makes robotic sounds.

When Ben mentioned in the finale that the people from the freighter were the real bad guys and they were looking for the island I just thought it was a brilliant storyline for the show. I'm so glad that Penny said she wasn't with the freighter cause that mentioned that Ben was telling the truth. So I guess they were right when they said that "everything will change" on the season finale. And I guess Ben was right at the end of the second season when he said that they "we're the good guys" cause they don't want these mysterious people getting on the island.

yeah to what you said. lost has an amazing storyline. Like in season 1 it just talks about the others for the first time. season two it opens up a bit. but season 3 it talks about tons of stuff. It's like the Island eliminates one group of people at a time. First Dharma got destroyed. Then the "Hostiles" which are now "The Others" got destroyed by the people from the plane. and now, The new people who try to find the Island are going to try and take over whatevers left. Are there still some of the Dharma facilities left over? so far, we saw The looking glass, the flame, the swan, the pearl, and i dont know the other two. any thoughts?

There will likely be hell of a lot more than two. There was originally going to be 6, The Question Mark, Swan, Flame, Pearl, Arrow and another one i can't remember. Since then though we've got the Hydra, the Looking Glass, and a few others that haven't been named yet. Also we have no clue why the ship is going there. Likely as it may be that they are a rivial company of the DHARMA and are going to exploit the island which is much against Bens will, we just don't know why they are going. We certainly know Ben isn't the good guy he said he was...

Since Season 1, I've held the theory that the island is, in fact free floating in the ocean and can possibly even submerge. Nothing in the show has caused me to recant that theory so far.

They revealed all that in the Lost Experience, appart from the Apollo stuff which is stuff you learn at school. They also revealed the purpose of the DHARMA Stations on the Lost Experience but incase anyone hasn't seen them yet i won't spoil it as it does get revealed in the show

I think it is Michael. He is not a friend or reative. I think the church and the neighborhood was african american if I am not mistaken. I think Jack was upset because he wanted to go so badly to the Island and only Michael left the Island on his own so he might know how to go back

I thought the island was moving too at all the times, but now that I think about it I don't think it is. If it was, it would eventually hit a continent. But, when you think about it, polar bears are on the island. So maybe at one pointit was near the poles and a polar bear just climbed aboard. So maybe it is a floating landmass. But you have to remember the islands are huge, and theres 2 islands side by side. The area where they work, and the living area. and if it is jacobs island, can he really control two islands?

I don't think they are just floating freely in the current, I think they are controlled (by Jacob, or who knows who?). It's the only way the island could stay hidden for so many years. It wouldn't just randomly bump into a continent. In the first season, Sayid has a conversation with someone about how the tides are erratic, and how the beach is no longer facing the same direction in relationship to the sun. Plus, there's a freaking slave ship in the middle of the island. The only way to get that ship there intact would be for the island to come up from underneath it.

The polar bears were brought in by the Dharma Initiative. I think that's already been addressed by the show.

actually the island moving would make sense. because yeah the Black Rock or the ship as you said couldnt of been dragged in from that far away. and that must be why all the hatches are either up high, or underground. incase the island does go underwater. And you heard the people, the tide came in really quickly. To quick for the people to move their bags away from the beach. So they MUST be floating. Tides are controlled by the moon, and its impossible for it to rise that quick.

Airio

I can't wait for season 4, im psyched. ive never been this obsessed with a tv show in my entire life; or addicted, too.I in fact do believe ben wasn't lying when he said naomi's people were the "bad" guys trying to find the island... and jack made the worst decision of his entire life, by making that call. Locke knew he had to stop jack from doing this, but as soon as jack picked up the phone, locke knew there was nothing else he could do... so he walked off.Ben, having half of his people now dead due to the losties, is now even more angry and pissed off now that jack is getting them off the island, and the fact that charlie actually pushing the button and getting island signals back. In season 4, there'll definetely be more flash forwards...hell, maybe the first episode of season 4 will be a flashforward. Some people think the flashforwards are other dimensions of everyone. Maybe it is another dimension, not actually the future. jack is TOTALLY different....Kate looks and dresses alot different then before...Jack said to the black doctor about him seeing his dad in the other floor if hes more drunk than jack was...Lost IS a show that messes with time, space, and continunum....Jack saying that they had to go back to the island...maybe he and kate left other people and he knew he regretted it and had to save them...In season 2, locke said to jack that he was a man of science, but will eventually convert into faith. This may happen in season 4. Also, as for jacob, there will defintely be more of him in the next season, which was said by producers damon lindelof and carlton cuse. Oh yeah, and the black smoke, wont be adressed until the end of the show...thats a huge question. idk if any of u guys saw in the pilot, a couple times during the scenes on the beach when evryone JUST crashed, if u slow down the scenes, u can see the black smoke moving and causing some of the parts on the plane to explode and suck people into the engine...phew that was a lot of talk about LOST...cya

there must be another group of others on the island. how else would they be able to make those whispering sounds. thats kinda weird to the maximum. and is the looking glass attached to the ocean floor? or is it floating just above it. I don't think it was attached. in any case, the only other solution I could think of, would be that the cord can extend a very long distance.:D

Er...I don't think it's been established that the Looking Glass is actually fixed to the floor. But then, even if it wasn't, that would mean the main island was dragging it along, and if that were the case, there would be a lot more tension on the wire and you wouldn't be able to pick it up.

I'm not ready to dismiss my theory entirely. The Looking Glass could have its own propulsion system.

there must be another group of others on the island. how else would they be able to make those whispering sounds. thats kinda weird to the maximum. and is the looking glass attached to the ocean floor? or is it floating just above it. I don't think it was attached. in any case, the only other solution I could think of, would be that the cord can extend a very long distance.:DAirio

I never said it was attached to the ocean floor, i said it was located there. And personally i kinda doubt a 4 inch thick wire would be capable of dragging a massive structure like that around the ocean. Not to mention if the cable could extend a very long distance it would have caused more problems than good.

1. It would be a trail to the island since the Electro Magnetic Anomaly surly goes with the island the Looking Glass would no longer been undetectable as its not in the shroud of the anomaly and someone will find that, then the wire and then the island.

2. Surely it would either get caught on something or get destroyed and broken in someway.

3. If it can extend then it would have when peopled pulled on it and they wouldn't have found anything, just a really long cable that goes nowhere...

Not to mention the fact it is actually attached to the bottom (though i'd save this for my plot twist)

as seen here

who knows where the island is then. and I doubt the smoke is jacob. Did you hear what he said to locke? "Help me" so I doubt that Jacob is really all that powerful if he needs help from Locke. Maybe he is powerful, but hes invisible so i dont think he can do anything physical. as you saw, he didnt go far Lockes flashlight, he just shook the house, so I don't think he can do any physical harm. And I know for a fact the island isnt between heaven and hell or purgatory. the producers already stated that its not.

Pretty sure when he threw Ben across the room that would of caused physical harm...

He didn't harm Locke though because Locke is in tune with the island.

in all of lost, i'd have to say Sawyer is the best character. then Desmond, and then Sayiid
