I have almost 74 million total messages read in a little over a year. :P I do tend to lurk a lot around the different parts of the forums.

Assuming your count is truthful, it still doesn't compare to farslip :o One in 53318 compared to your One in 5762

I lurk OT quite a bit since some of the topics are interesting but I rarely posts because nobody reads what I type or ever responds to me even if I make valid points

Its the truth. Its about 73.89 million which is pretty close. But yea, I was doing some calculations and got the same numbers as you did. :P

Look at the once spammers of OT, such as Snipes_2 or EMOEVOLUTION. Their posts were crimes against logical reasoning, yet they propelled threads to unnatural lengths because folks felt compelled to respond to their absurdities.

Sound statements do not incite discussion to the degree that the unsound do. The folks at Fox News realized this, now look at their ratings. How often do you see articles referenced from NPR.org?
