pc, cheaper and better and youre not paying for a fashion statement
that and macs arent as secure as vista. which is pretty pathetic.

PC. I dont want to hear "Apple can run Windows". Windows can run Apple but its illegal but the end result is, it can run Apple. Also Apple is ridiculously overpriced. PC are overall better, oh, and a Mac was hacked in 2mins...
Not to mention you can customize Windows to look exactly like Mac OS. And LOL at the memory upgrade prices. 1 GB of PC ram is like $20 now.PC. I dont want to hear "Apple can run Windows". Windows can run Apple but its illegal but the end result is, it can run Apple.

i also hate the fact that mac os x has boot camp.
i mean if you're trying to be an alternative to windows, why do you run windows?
Because you get the best of both.i also hate the fact that mac os x has boot camp.

PC definitely, I have no idea why you'd want to use mac, unless of course you are a graphic designer or a video editor, even then you can do it on windows, just not as secure. ferrari2001
[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]A Mac. General PCs are usually plagued by Windows.Tjeremiah1988
ask yourself why.
Because people are unaware of the alternatives. Microsoft's current standing owes very little to their current OS.I like Mac's interface and software, but they're too expensive so I'll have to go with PC. Elviathan

uh. right.
if you're interested in running windows based things, i mean you could just buy a cheaper computer that runs windows. mac dosent have anything exclusive that windows dosent have a better alternative for, or the same thing.
and im not tring to come off as a windows fanboy. I dont like windows. But mac is pretty much useless.

But mac is pretty much useless.H8sMikeMooreNot if you want a computer that's made for leisure over work. There's very little that a PC can do that a Mac can't anyway. It's hardly a big deal that you can run Windows. It's more of a... why not? Macs suit the casual users far better than Windows does. It's somewhat annoying that the people best suited for Macs don't care enough to look past what's always in front of them (Windows).

i dont know if youre able to get windows to look like mac entirely.
but you certainly can with open source OS's. i dont know if you included them

I've seen a number of people on "post your dektop" topics using the Leopard skin for Object Dock. Every top menu bar functions properly because it's just a skin. To get it on top, right click on your menu bar, click "(un)lock the task bar" and then drag it to the top of your screen.UssjTrunksIt just looks a bit like a Mac, in a slapdash kind of way. It doesn't function like one at all though. The whole point of having a top menu on a Mac is that it's used for file, edit, view etc... >_>

this? This can be done for pictures, music, w/e folder. I can also set it to show images within the folder if I want.

mac is severly lacking in software. usually they only have one or two alternatives. it would be one thing if it were open. but it isnt.
if you can run windows on it, you have some sort of need for it. so if you have a need for it why shell out the extra cash for less? Its not like windows is even difficult. i mean its point and click.
Because Windows is more than easy enough for the "casual".UssjTrunksDoesn't change the fact that Macs are still better suited; and I believe that most casuals would prefer one had they not already become accustomed to Windows.

me too!so if you have a need for it why shell out the extra cash for less? Its not like windows is even difficult. i mean its point and click.H8sMikeMooreThe design, the support, the build quality and the OS itself (forgetting software) are worth paying extra for.
