I'm not much of a Mac person - the only Macs I've used are the uuubbbeeerrr crappy old ones that my school has.

I saw a Macbook Pro in action, and it looked like it's actually a real nice laptop. And I'm looking for a laptop.
So do you think I should buy a Macbook? Or a different laptop?

It comes down to the money. If you've got enough money, sure. But there are more powerful laptops out there for a lot less money.

Alright, I'll take those into mind.

How are they gaming-wise?

I have one, and gaming wise they are ok. If you plan on gaming then you'll want to run boot camp, and install Windows. There aren't a whole lot of games available for mac right now.

Yes, Macs are amazing on both the desktop and laptop spectrums. It won't be the most amazing gaming machine but it could do decently. Whoever said you can get a mroe powerful machine for the same price doesn't know what they are talking about. Dell, the most widely recognized "cheap" brand can't compare in price. Their $2,913 laptop is less powerful than the $1,999 MacBook pro except for the screen.

Heck, even gaming wise Macs are staring to make a stand. EA didn't decide to start making Mac games again for no reason, not to mention Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3, yes, both coming to Mac.
