Your Mac would NOT beat my Alienware. I know what the "High End" Mac's are capible of, I have to fix them for Ego-driven designers all day, and they do not match or surpass.

Yeh it is expensive, but im a graphics designer and photographer. I need a road warrior laptop with 6+ hours of battery life, backlit keyboard a light sensative screen. I know I have a windows gaming Computer I love it. Im not saying Mac is better than pc. It is just different.

Are you guys idiots? I've had an iMac for almost a year, and what a wonderful year it has been. I know unless something drastic happens I'll never be putting a penny into windows again. Don't worry frizzyman, you made an excellent choice going with the MBP, I can't wait till I get mine this winter to supplement my iMac. I imagine half of you saying Macs suck have hardly, if at all, used one.

I've had the macbook pro for 4 months now. Best laptop ever, is like apple made a pact with the devil to have the design. I did my research for 2 months before buying it. I did HP's and Dells with the same specs and they would cost about 2000 dollars, that's 500 hundred dollars less BUT the ability to run OSX with pretty Adobe CS3 and play all my Windows Games on the same machine is more than worth the money. Oh and a big tip, want to get your laptop to the next level? Get an ilap. Trust me, worth a million bucks.

Umm... how did you do that? I'm sittin here lookin at a DELL laptop that's not even as powerful as the bottom line MBP aside from the DELL's 17in screen (I prefer 15in anyway) and the DELL one is $2,913 (that should shoot down al the "Macs are expensive" arguments :P)
