I just got a macbook pro thirteen inch this month and it said on the apple website that the battery lasts up to seven hours......IM ONLY GETTING ABOUT 4!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHH

Help please

Not sure about a MacBook but there are usually settings that you can tweak to prolong your battery life: eg on my Vaio they're called Power Plans. But for me I don't see a tangible difference by changing them, maybe half an hour or so..

it all depends on what you're doing. if you're using the harddrive or the cd drive a lot you will eat up the battery faster. also if you play games since they video card and cpu will be under more load than just surfing the web.

^^THis. As with any portable device your settings will greatly influence your battery life. To add to what Ontain stated, using your speakers, the brightness of your screen, even an increase in CPU/GPU/HDD/DVD drive will greatly reduce your battery time.

How is that even remotely helpful? If I read the OP correctly, he was asking about his battery, not if MAC or PC is better.
